Tracked down a deal for league racers $49 for a year, darling Mrs Knight has given her blessing so on the understanding we are going to keep cost to a minimum (don't mind the odd track or car every couple of months) I'll set up a new account, it will be under the name of Paul Wickham2 and so will need another invite to the GBR team.

Welcome back Knight! I will get a FR and GBR league invite out to you immediately. The SRF is the car for the foreseeable future. If we change cars, particularly to one beyond the base content, it will only occur after plenty of discussion and consideration. I also have no problem sticking with base content tracks for a while. For example, the SRF official series is currently running at Charlotte road course and so I tried it out last night in a practice session. That car is pretty fun at that course, although Helios' SRF tune for Okayama needs to be modified for the long straights at Charlotte. So, perhaps we can do the Charlotte road course for our March event.

I'll try to add the tune to the original post tonight. I'm glad I was able to change some opinions of the SRF. With a decent setup, the car is a joy to drive.....even with it's lack of grunt.

Crap, new members only. Oh yeah sorry, thats why I have a 2 added to my name...I had only "rented" one track on the old profile so it made sense to grab that deal, I think it's a shame most of those deals seem to only be for new members...I guess once you have a few tracks and cars they have you by the short and curlies.

There are still good deals for us existing members. Be on the lookout for the $49 deal for your membership renewal. Also, you can get up to $10 iRacing credits each season for competing in official events. They give you a $5 credit for 12 months of continuous membership. And, you get up to a 25% discount on content if you buy in bulk.

I got a deal in July 2012 where I paid $99 to extend my subscription for two years, which ended up being a discount of almost 50%. The $49 deal is only on Black Friday, from what I can tell. Good point.

Posted in the other thread...
Coincidentally, I just received an email today from iRacing for a renewal bonus being extended to the Cadillac Trial members. $49 for 1 year. Perfect. That'll get me to the Black Friday deal.
