Date: February 14, 2013 Time: 7:30pm PST Car: National Impala (not included in base package) Track: Thompson Speedway (included in base package) Warm Up: 20 minutes Qualifying: 10 minutes, 4 laps Race: 30 minutes Tune: Fixed iRacing Tune
Keep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the start times once we are in the sim. You can be late for warm up and can come and go as you please. I don't know whether you can come in once qualifying begins so don't risk it. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. This will be a rolling start.
Please note that the National Impala is our car of choice for the foreseeable future for our Thursday oval series, with us only changing the tracks for each event, ala V8 Supercars.

FYI, falling on Valentine's Day may hurt your attendance. I know I'll be making dinner for the lady Thursday and sneaking away to run a race may not be the wisest move. That said... if she has to work late then, game on!

Just a reminder iRacers, our second race in the GBR iRacing oval series is tomorrow night. We are running the National Impala at Thompson Speedway. A 20 minute warm up starts at 7:30pm PST. Qualifying follows shortly thereafter. The race will start at 7:55pm, and will last for 35 minutes.
Spaz is the current points leader, following by yours truly and then Helios in third.

well I better buy it, how come we are not using same as last time? We are using the same car, the National Impala, as we did for the first oval series race in January. The track is base content, which everyone should already have.

aaaah I must of bought it last time No worries, I am glad you checked. For our GBR iRacing road and oval series, we are stick with one car for each series, and will just be changing up the tracks. On the other hand, for the "one off" series, we will be mixing it up so that guys have the opportunity to use different cars and tracks.

Hey guys, sorry bout taking out the field on the restart. I knew Craig was going to floor it as soon as the pace car went in and i was trying to match his speed and just got loose and lost it. I was faston restart on outside into 1 was trying to take advantage of that fact and set up maybe a side by side finish. Instead I pulled a noob and lost it. My apologizes. Congrats on the win Craig!

It was fun guys. Thanks for coming out. Sorry for the technical issues at the beginning, that one is on me.
Points have been updated. Yours truly sits at the top, followed closely by Spaz and Helios. Stinky and OldSlowFred are not far behind.
Next oval series race is March 21 at USA Speedway. Same car. I will post a new thread shortly.
