Hey guys, lets get a thread going where we share our settings for our wheels.
I recently had some trouble with the force feedback on my T500, after the new build. It turns out that I was "clipping" the force feedback, apparently by applying too much damper and/or spring both in driver and in game. Here are the new settings I got from a kind gentleman on iRacing.
Driver Settings Overall Forces - 65% Periodic - 100% Linearity - 100% Spring - 0% Damper - 0%
In-Game Settings Force Feedback - 10-20% (depends on car) Damper - 0 Minimum Force - 2.0
I tried these settings last night with four cars, the Chevy Silverado, the Chevy Impala B car, the HPD prototype and the McLaren. They worked perfectly. I am getting ample force feedback, but its smooth. Yes, Pocono was more bumpy, as you would expect, but not excessively so.

There's a tool for measuring clipping and setting the minimum force. If I can find the thread on the iR forums before anyone else does I'll post a link.

I remember seeing that thread also, but it was when I first started iRacing and didn't really understand it yet. I will search for it also. Now that I have been running a while I would like to fine tune my settings.
I will post what I know, but I will have to wait until I get home to check for sure. Zero, if you have some good settings for the CSR Elite with the new build, please let me know. I feel like something has changed, but can't figure it out.
My on-wheel settings: (the ones I remember) SEn: 900 FFb: 100 Sho: 100 Dri: OFF AbS: 069 Lin: 000 dEA: 000 SPr: -1 or -2 (I will have to double check this one) dPr: -2 or -3 (I will have to check this one also) ACL: OFF
In game settings: Force Feedback: 20-30 (I have had to increase this on every car since the new build) Damper: 0 Min Force: 0.2 (I need to use the tool to find out what I should use)
I also have the FFB Linearity box checked. I was reading on the forums this should be checked.
The car I get the best feedback from is the Mazda Cup car. I was running a race the other night and went a little too deep into the braking zone and had to brake a little harder than normal. As the car was slowing down the wheel was shuddering from braking so hard. I can also really feel the tire adhesion when cornering and can really tell when it is about to break loose. I rarely spin that car anymore because I feel so connected to it.

thanks Craig. Those settings feel great. I can feel every bump and tire scrub.

Jarhead, your settings look good to me. Those are the same or very similar settings I used when I ran the Elite in iRacing on a daily basis. I cannot speak to the newer settings, such as minimum force and linearity, since I switched to the T500 for iRacing before the newer build was released that added the minimum force and linearity options.

Screwed myself tonight but it turned out for the best. Kurupt was great and sent me settings for the GT3RS (Thanks man!) which I dutifully plugged in my wheel and off I went only to realize that I forgot to write down the settings I had before. Unfortunately the new setting changes were not for me at all as everything suddenly felt "wooden" and I had no feel at all for what the car was doing. So starting from scratch I've spent the last 1.5 hours adjusting this and that but its been a great learning experience both from setting up my wheel but also from going through each and every one of the control settings inside iRacing. I'm not done yet but when I have everything to my liking, I'll post up a screenshot of what I end up with. Thanks again to Kurupt for sending me the settings. I really appreciated the gesture even though I wasn't able to make use of all of them. Here are the settings for my Fanatec GT3RS. I ended up using these for all 3 cars I tested. Mustang FR500S, SCCA Spec Racer Ford, Mazda MX-5 Cup Fanatec GT3RS Wheel Settings:- Sensitivity: Off
- Force Feedback: 100
- Shock Vibration: 0
- Drift Mode: 0
- ABS Vibration: 0 (This will change in the future as I have a theory to try out)
- Linearity Setting: 0
- Dead Zone Setting: 0
- Spring Setting: 0
- Damper Setting: 0
Fanatec GT3RS Wheel Properties:Fanatec Wheel Properties by KRG-Can, on Flickr iRacing Controls:iRacing Global Settings by KRG-Can, on Flickr I have improved my lap times a bit but more importantly, all three cars feel so more connected to the road. Its like they came alive so I'm very happy with the outcome. I'm going to re-visit my rFactor settings now too. Cheers!

Same as I use on the Elite with the exception of Linearity...I'll have to give that a go.

The linearity is interesting and is designed for those of us with 900 degree wheels. Assuming you are running at the full 900 the Linearity from what I read makes it easier to steer for tight corners by cutting the degree through calculated ratios.
This happens at 30mph or less. Anything above that and the wheel goes to a ratio of 1:1. I never used it before and T2 and 3 @ Laguna were interesting sometimes. Now that I have linearity on, it's a totally different ball game.
Also is my understanding correct that the ABS function on the wheel doesn't actually add ABS but rather vibrates in conjunction with a pedal press percentage that you set?
My thought was to set the ABS percentage to go off just before brake lockup as an added "catch" when racing. I figure with 4 profiles available on the wheel (1 taken up for rFactor) I could cover off the current cars I am using in iRacing.
Thoughts?

That said, I haven't taken the time to mess with it yet.

You really should not have anything set in the profiler (Logitech wheels) other than overall strength and dampening like so: Then in iRacing set your FFB to what feels good. Linear was great in the last build, but it seems at least to me that unchecking that in the new build is better. Lastly set the Dampening (in iRacing) to wherever you had it set in your profiler before moving it to 100%. The reason for the dampening at 100% in the profiler is that iRacing will only set it to what you set it in iRacing, not what you have it set int he profiler. If you leave it at 0 in the profiler, it will always be zero in iracing. The old "more than 100%" on overall does not apply to iRacing, so leave that at 100%.

Yeah, what he said. That's the state-of-the-art settings for Logitech.
I also do not like Linear FF in iRacing right now. It feels way too vague around the middle of the wheel range.

I did notice a difference in the new build, but did not try unchecking the linear FF box in the iRacing settings. I will give that a try tonight after the V8 race.

Oh, did I mention, I hated the new FFB so much in the new build, that I put my TSW720 wheel back on my desk... ;-)
NO FFB at all now and loving it, LOL!
