Yes I have the digital install. The My Documents thing comes into play if you don't set the shortcuts to run as Administrator. If you run it "as is" it creates your User folder structure under My Documents instead of in the rFactor install folder.

I started over using a folder in the root of C:. Installed the DVD, installed Lite, copied Lite, Installed V8 over the Lite copy, replaced the EXE file...all is good. Copied all of the tracks from the old PC. Backed up config.ini, zed...plr and controller.ini and copied over from old PC. Downloaded V8 skins.
Looks to be working as it was. Some settings needed tweaking like force feedback effects but no big deal.
I think it was a combination of getting it our of Program Files and the fact that I took a break from it. PC is working great. Everything loads super quick...happy mofo I be.
