Welcome gentleman! Spazcar returns to it's premier series! This Tuesday will NOT be the main event. That 100 lapper will be run on the 19th. Instead we'll be doing our own little speedweeks, per say. We'll take it as a shakedown to make sure everyone's mod works, a refresher of the mod rules and regs, (remember, this one is picky) and a chance for all of us to run together before we start the points season. The venue will be a 15 lap shootout (no game cautions , just Spazcar style rolling) then a pair of 25 lappers (Normal flag rules) to determine the starting postitions for the upcoming 100 lapper. Please be logged on by 7 PM (PST) if possible as i'd like to have the drivers meeting at 7:20 and racing get under way promptly at 7:30. No different then our other series at GBR Server is up and up to date on skins. 5 of us already tested , so there should be NO errors providing you are on the VHR 1.9 Version with the NWS SKIN PACK installed , found in the downloads section of Spazcar thread. The 1.9 MOD file is NOT needed nor are any of the other addons ( irocs , legends , etc) If in doubt or have any questions...just ask, someone will be more then will to lend a hand See you all on the track, can't wait. Cars look awesome and from the brief test we had...the racing will be even better. Get practicing that draft! Thanks to everyone for their support and participation in Spazcar

I'll be popping my Spazcar cherry. Never ran it before, including in Forza.

Fun stuff. It's a little tricky getting used to real names. Congrats to Ed. LiveRacers shows him as having the fastest lap at this track. Someone had their mic gain set very hot (Custom45?). Is it possible to turn that down a bit for the next race? If I'm loud as well then please let me know. I'm using a new headset and don't have it fully setup yet.

what a blast. great race, great fun, thanks Craig for the help. i hope we are close together in the next race. so we can work together again. it was tough in the sprint races, you didnt know who to trust. and if they would go with ya. on the high side . hopefully with a 100 laps we can get 2 lines going and figure out that high side. @ thanks SPaz for hosting. i dont know how many season we have been racing Spazcar. but it is a blast. and just awesomeness.

Tony raises a good point about going on the high side. I stayed behind Tony for most of race 2, but was content with pushing him to the win. That being said, it makes for more exciting races if the #2 car goes high at some point and the 3 or 4 follows. I tried going outside of Tony a couple of times but the 3 car simply stayed in formation and was going to take my spot. Not wanting to be left out on a limb, I swooped back down and re-claimed my spot. Another issue with these cars is that although they grip well, they do have a tendency to want to push out in the turns if you don't have the wheel under control 100%. That can make for some nasty wrecks, such as the one I was involved in during the first race.

Last night was an experience. I am clueless as to how long ovals and drafting works so the learning curve is huge. I know what Craig is saying about trying to make a move. I went high at one point and lost the draft and the two cars behind me passed me.
I'm just happy I didn't cause any wrecks and didn't get caught in one. Sorry I had to bail but it was midnight and I still needed to wind down before bed. I hope the normal races don't go that late. I realize yesterday was about helping the newcomers and I am completely fine with that.

Don't worry Dave, I try to never let Spazcar run past 12 on the East coast, I target for 11:30-45. Last night was about helping the new guys out , and not during the main points race. We are good to go for next week now so that going to be good. Even got Emcee Child all sorta afterwards and he was having a hoot drafting me. That outside line is going to be tough. You are going to need at least 3 to 4 guys working together and commited to it to make it work and who are smooth and can run a clean line. Craig and I tried, but it wasn't going happen with two cars and one that already had damage. I also noticed i think it going to comedown to whom can cut the air cleaner as well. I was slow behind Craig, but we picked up 2 miles an hour with me leading. So I 'm not sure that going to be the case again, but I 'm going up the data rates on the server for next week. Biggest gains i noticed is when a car wobbled in the corners or drifted up. I could get a good run by sticking on the bottom on guys. Having said that too, i also wrecked a couple of guys because i got that run AND i didn't lift. Remember ( and it was a refresher for me) unless you are at least between the rear tire and the door, (not rear bumper and rear tire) you aren't technically on the inside and need to lift and fall in behind. Also make sure you be the other guys spotter, the ingame spotter sucks and is slow to announce , so make sure you guys talk to each other. I was very pleased at how things went last especially to the fact that alot of you had taken the time before race day to get your stuff installed and server tested before the race. That was really nice to see. Remember there will be a skin update to fix an error available by Friday and make sure you get it and test again on the server prior to race day. I wan to start a little earlier next week, cause i want to get the 100 Laps in Thanks again everyone, it was alot of fun!
