What were you running before or are you talking about rFactor2 beta?
For either rF1 or rF2 the following applies:
Have you run rfConfig.exe to set the correct resolution?
Also, see if it makes a difference if you play with the shader level... start at DX9 and work down to DX7.

My regular rFactors functioning fine, however my V8 supercars mod isn't. I can open it, adjust settings for player, car, etc. everythings fine, until I tell it to load track. Crashes to desktop. This happens in dx9 and dx7...
Now, the only track in there is Toban. Is this the problem?

Now, the only track in there is Toban. Is this the problem? This is the retail disc install, right? Grab one of the tracks for our series and see if you can load it in the game. I've never tried the supercars at Toban... maybe the two don't get along. Do you know how to change directory/file permissions? Give the User account full priv. for the entire rFactor directory tree. Are you running rF as Administrator? Go in to compatibility settings and see if that's checked. While there hit Disable Desktop Composition.. it'll gain you a few fps.

I did a clean install of rFactor Lite to a new folder and then installed V8Factor.Unleashed.v1.10.exe into same folder. The only track present in both cases was Toban so I think that is correct.
When I had originally installed rFactor I was also unable to load the track. The problem then was access rights, when starting rFactor I needed to select 'Run as administrator'.

using rFactor Lite with V8 Supercars installed I am able to drive the Toban track (only one present) with no problem (other than speeding in pit lane... using keyboard controls )

I don't see what you're talking about with this Run as Administrator check box. I'm running XP, BTW, and I am the administrator, I have to supply a password when I boot up. However, it sounds like Sheldons problem is my problem, so I dunno. I have Wanneroo in the V8 locations folder with Toban and it won't work either, same exact response. Near as I cantell, Teamspeaks up!

Like I said in the other forums, sounds to me like you need to set permissions, If you can't select run as admin from right clicking on the short cut, then you need to assign admin rights to your user profile on the PC. EDIT* Damn, just seen your post. XP.... I don't remember how to do it in XP. Have to think on it a bit. Unless someone beets me to it.

I don't see what you're talking about with this Run as Administrator check box. I'm running XP, BTW, and I am the administrator, I have to supply a password when I boot up. I run as admin too but in Win 7. rFactor doesn't know shit about user permissions and runs into issues with how W7 blocks access to applications writing to files. I should've asked what OS you're using first. I haven't used XP in so long that I can't really comment on rFactor and that OS.
