When I make my server it only gives me my plr profile to use, how do I get it to go to dedicated server?
Also I made the server with my profile just to see if it would load up and show. It did and I got in, but all my GID stuff started flashing the whole time, Ideas?

Don't know anything about GID. But my dedicated server settings are linked to my PLR file, at least while I've been running it in the same game as I'm playing. I'm going to experiment trying to set up a separate game folder just for the ded server since I was having issues this week.

Dedicated Server is one of the default users created. If you're missing this then try one of two things:
1) Run the dedi as Adminstrator and see if it picks up the user folder
OR
2) If the DedicatedServer folder doesn't exist in rFacter\User Data and/or the PLR file is missing then let me know and I'll try to get you fixed.

Ok we'll move my issue over here since there is a deidcated spot...I have everything set exactly as posted in the screen shots in the other forum post. I have both my Windows firewall diasbled on both machines. Have tried both the exe of the dvd and my no dvd exe, makes no difference and i can log on to the V8 practice server and go out on the track on the V8's with my no dvd exe... I downloaded rF lite, and copied my DVD exe to the folder. I then dropped in the tested working Street Stock Mod from my racing rig to my "server" rig. um trying to think of anything else i did but think that's it. Created a GBR Street Stock practice server that is locked and uses the same pass that we use for v8's and when entering password...get join timed out...or something like that. Thoughts?

Edit* This problem is solved.
Have a new problem I can't figure out. Timber can play the track in single, but when he goes to load into the practice server he gets as far as the pass word and it jumps back to the car screen, wont even act like it wants to load the track.

ok give...spent an hour on the phone with basherman helping me set my router and create a port for the game. No luck still times out. I'm not able to set my router itself to a static ip as i have way to much shit in the house that runs on wifi and i'm not about to try to go reconfigure everything. I dunno what else to do...windows firewall is off...the only thing i haven't done is set my comp to a static ip...or adjust the private /public part as i don't know where to look or adjust that.

the only thing i haven't done is set my comp to a static ip... You can not run a server until you do this (well, there *are* ways but that just complicated things). One day your server PC will grab a different IP and your forwarding rules will break. Some routers won't even forward to DHCP addresses Your router will allow some devices to request DHCP IPs and others to use static. Just set the DHCP range high enough to not cause problems. I use 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.200 for static IPs and set the router to hand out DHCP addresses at 192.168.1.200 and above. Ignore what I said about public/private until you test with the above.

ok so i found out why my vhr server was kicking me out due to unrecognized car. Though i was accessing the Spazcar server(dedicated server out of vhr) through rfactor and matchmaker listed it as vhr iroc...i was actually connecting to my street stock dedicated server that was running on another machine in the house. Thought on how to host multiple servers throughout my network? I actually want to utilize 3 machines..or....2 dedicated on 1 machine and 1 on another.

Basically you'll have to get each server on different ports. If you run more than one server on the same ports you'll get unpredictable results. I'm headed out the door now but if you Google around you should find which lines in the INI files to change.
That also means more port forwarding rules for your router. You have three ports per server... three servers, nine forwarding rules. The munber of physical machines doesn't matter as long as your router is properly configured to forward ports to the right internal IP addresses.
