Ok so I did another install of rFactor Lite, copied over my exe from the original, installed the SP2 Full install for EnduRacers.
Game starts fine but soon as I choose the EnduRacers "team/vehicles" option, BOOM, crashes to the desktop.
The core "lite" game runs fine.
As a test, I'm going to install the core EnduRacers, run it, then patch to SP1, run it, then SP2 and run it to see if it craps out any where in between.
*EDIT* I guess I can't do the above option as they offer only the patch and the full version on their site so I'll download the full version again and see what happens.
For anyone that has previously installed EnduRacers have you experienced any issues.
Also a question on Mods in general. Most of the posts and what not I have run across seem to point to people installing the mods to the core game and selecting the different mods through the "vehicles/teams".
Thoughts from the more experienced peeps please?
Cheers!

It installed fine for me. Mod crashing is almost always one of three things:
- Incompatibility with a plug-in. For example, you can't run Historic GT with GID 1.1.1 - Incorrect DX shader level. Some mods are designed for DX9, 8, 7, etc. Run rFconfig.exe and starting at DX9 work your way down to DX7, testing each time - The User account doesn't have full permissions for the directory (you know that one already)
Check the readme or instructions for the mod because it'll often highlight potential issues.
This is one reason I maintain separate folders for each mod. It reduces the headaches. I strongly recommend you keep a clean rFactor folder set aside, then when it's time for a mod, make a copy of it then install a single mod into it. Lather, rinse, repeat for each mod.
Hawks posted instructions on linking everything to a common tracks folder in the Tips and Tricks thread I think.

Odd. Mine seemed to light off fine on the original install. Maybe some of the more CPU literate guys will have some insight.
You can put all the mods into the core install, but the risk there is some mods (such as the VHR Stockcars) can over-write settings that are used in other mods. There is a backdoor way around it, but involves re-booting rFactor everytime you switch from the mod. The other key reason for doing the multiple lite installs is it helps speed up the sim. When I had 8 or 9 mods loaded on my original install, sometimes it would take a minute or more switching between the different mods. The other flip side of the multiple installs, if something corrupts, you only loose data on that particular install. Then you're only installing 1 or 2 mods....instead of half dozen or better. Configuring the files to pull track data from the "core" install prevents having to download multiple copies of the track.

I tested another mod I installed and it runs fine so it might be my "lite" machine that is causing grief. I'll take another run at it when I have my monster machine and we'll go from there.
Thanks!

Hey guys, I installed Enduracers yesterday, but it does not fit correctly on my screen. The game is cut off at the top and bottom. I went into rfconfig and manually changed the resolution to 1920 X 1080, 32 bit, which is the native resolution for my HDTV that I play my racing games on.
Any thoughts?
