Hey Guys,
Zero and Helio said I should post this here, but considering many of you are getting the iRacing bud and I noticed a few of you mentioning you were running in other leagues on Saturday's, I thought I would throw an invite to you to take a look at our Cup Series which takes place Saturday nights.
It's running the new Gen 6 car(s) with times East Coast Based.
The league: Fine Line Racing (www.finelineracing.net)
We run a 6-hour server each Saturday, starting at 6:30 PM EST. Qualifying starts at 9:30 PM.
We run long races (50% of a typical NASCAR Cup race), so a race at at rack like Charlotte (1.5 mile) is 167 laps or 250 miles. We also have pit stop limits (our way of creating a tire limit), which brings strategy into the fold more so than just hotlaping and pitting every caution (we usually don't have that many cautions, but you get the point). ;-)
I know most of us enjoy league structured racing, thus the reason we are her at GBR, so come take a look at sign up if you would like to join us and it doesn't interfere with any GBR activities.
Thanks Guys!

Sounds good F1. I do need to ask everyone who plans on racing to actually sign up by clicking the Join Today button. That's the only way you get scored.
Let me know if you have any questions.

hoser, my only trepidation is that I don't know how to tune and it looks like these are open set up races. Do you have guys that run the fixed set ups and still are able to compete?

I believe 9:30 PM is 1:30 PM on the East Coast of Australia. There's a world clock, or better yet, just use the clock on our home page as all races go by that time. World Clock Here (our league is the same time as New York): www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

About 90% of the time, there's a setup posted in the iRacing Forum, our forum, or in the race server that most people use (if not the fixed). I can't remember the last time there wasn't a set that folks couldn't use.
