Those of you who have played BF3 with me know I love my FPS games. While I enjoy BF3, I PREFER a much more methodical and tactical approach and Arma has always offered that.
The latest incarnation is Arma 3 and its currently in Alpha (Yes, you have to buy into it... meh!)
I'm going to use this thread to post up videos and what not of Arma 3 in an effort to woo some of the great peeps here to playing an FPS game that doesn't require you to run around like an epileptic chicken going for kills.
*Edit* I plan on purchasing into the Alpha and I will be able to send out 3 Alpha "Lite" invites of which the Alpha "Lite" will be open March 14th to June 18th, 2013.

I played BF3/COD/MW for years on Xbox Controllers so yep, it can be done. When I switched back to a PC for gaming I seriously contemplated getting a controller just for FPS games because I was so used to it.

ya bf3 i used the controller with youse that time but going by that vid it wont have enough buttons just to change positions lol but i would give it a go with controller as id like a bit more slow paced tactical game

If you have any invites I'd love to have one. I'm with you, I much rather prefer a systematic and team-oriented approach rather than run and gun.

I haven't received the codes yet but will send you one. So far of the three I will have 2 are spoken for.
One for Dan and one for Hoser.

Hmm play around with Arma 2 a fair bit, 3 is looking good already. Would love to join you but sodding timezones make that impossible. Ah well I'm a bullet magnet anyway  |

Hey guys I need Steam Usernames and a working email for Dan, Smokey and Hoser so I can send you your Arma 3 Lite codes.
Shoot me a PM with the info.
If you don't have a Steam Account, shoot me just your email and you will get an email with everything you need to get up and running on Steam.
