Date: April 14, 2013 Time: 7:30am PST (Practice starts at 7:30am PST, Qualifying begins at 8:50am, Race begins at 9:00am) Car: Spec Racer Ford (aka "SRF") (included in base package) Track: Summit Point (included in base package) Practice/Warm Up: 80 minutes Qualifying: 10 minutes, 4 laps Race: 30 minutes Tune: Open (not fixed). If we are nice to Helios, maybe he will develop a tune for those of us that cannot use a wrench.
Keep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the start times once we are in the sim. You can be late for practice/warm up and can come and go as you please. I don't know whether you can come in once qualifying begins so don't risk it. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. Since you all seem to be road purists, this will be a standing start.
Please note that the SRF is our car of choice for the foreseeable future for our Sunday road course series, with us only changing the tracks for each event, ala V8 Supercars.

Craig, I have a request. Could you please change the track layout to the Main Circuit or even the Short Circuit? That Jefferson Circuit is very short and it will make for a long race running round and round there so many times. Plus I'm sure everyone will be much more familiar with the Main Circuit since it is one of the tracks used in the Mazda Series.

Looking forward to this race. Is there anyway to outfit the cars with bumper rails like bumper cars? It might be better if my car had those, or maybe a ring of cushions around my car lol

Ah the SRF at Summit Point. That's the combo of my first ever simracing laps lead. I had never led a race before (in iRacing or any sim [other than Forza])... I lasted 2 laps and the pressure got to me and I couldn't take it anymore so I gave up the lead.

Drive it if you can, but if it won't drive get a tow. We run these road races with unlimited fast repairs.

Looking forward to it. I need to run some practice tomorrow night if I get back home early enough. The race at Okayama was the first time I ever led a race here at GBR and the pressure got to me also. I was sweating at the end of that race.

I have no idea if I am going to be able to make it tomorrow...Interwebs are really not playing nicely, had an awful day of totally failing to get any online racing at all, not too much hope it will be sorted on a Sunday
