Oops! I just watched the new ISR and Darin announced that the race will be at 3pm EST, 12pm PST, to accommodate the iRacing NASCAR series, which if course is not running that weekend.

I will most likely do it. Craig, how do the trucks run at Michigan with the fixed setup? I've never run them there before. We should try to get a hosted race going before then to get a little practice in. Make sure enough laps to require at least one pit stop.

They run fast, very fast. You lift a little in the turns but otherwise its full blast all of the way.
Hosted race is a great idea. When do you guys want to do it? I will be out of town next week but should be back by Thursday night.

Jarhead and I ran this on Saturday. Jarhead can report on his race.
I was not expecting much going into this race, as Michigan is not one of my better tracks. The first half of the race was really good, we had only one caution in my split. I was in a lower middle split, which meant that I was racing with some fast guys, but also some knuckleheads. I started 12th and ended up 13th out of a 40+ truck grid. The last half of the race was a wreckfest, and I got caught up in a couple of them, neither of which were my fault.
I really like the longer races and since there was no iRacing NASCAR event due to NASCAR being off this past weekend, this was a nice way to satisfy my iRacing endurance oval racing fix. The challenge of dealing with pitstops makes the enduros particularly fun and interesting.

Shame that it wasn't better for you, Craig. Was hoping to see your name on ISR again!
I didn't make the event. I was focused on preparation for two endurance races. GT and touring car endurance racing is where I'm focusing now. I'm having to cut out some other disciplines depending on the upcoming schedule.

I had a terrible race. I was in the 6th of 17 splits, so some fairly fast guys in my group and I was hoping some clean racers. I was in the same split with Darin Gangi, I'm sure Craig is super jealous. I had a decent qual time so I started 11th of 42 drivers. I'm not a very aggressive driver, I was just hoping to survive and be on the lead lap at the end. I fell back to the middle of the pack early on and then there was a big wreck in front of me on lap 22. I tried my best to slow down and miss it, but I ended up T-boning another truck and blew my engine, end of my race. Finished 39th of 42 trucks, 127 laps down.

I am not jealous that Jarhead got to race with Darin Gangi, as he has essentially ignored me since he joined our GBR iRacing group. I also am not jealous that Jarhead was in a higher split. My experience in the higher splits has been worse than when I have been in the lowest split. The guys in the A license races are some of the worst drivers in iRacing.
