No matter what driver version, every time I load rFactor or any game for that matter, it runs a short time then goes black and comes back, over and over.
Any ideas?
This is the same card I put in Timbers machine, and his has never had a hiccup.

I'll bet you're recording Nvidia driver time outs in the Event Viewer each time it blanks out.
See my post in the HistorX thread

My answer to your suggestions in the HistoriX post. By the way, the card went back. But when I get the next one, if I run into these problems again, I'll have to get with you on TS. If you have installed PrecisionX (Nvidia's overclocking/fan control utility), completely uninstall it and test again. Do not reinstall it yet. Still crashing? Then try setting the AA in rFconfig to Level 4 (while there ensure you have picked DX9). In game, set textures to 4x. Still crashing? In the NV Control Panel you should be good with defaults but I usually set power management to Prefer Maximum. Some people recommend Adaptive V-sync too to prevent the card from spazzing with the hundreds of fps in games like rFactor. YMMV... just typing this fast while waiting for dinner. Just to get back to you on this, Nothing worked, and the card was only putting out 18fps. I'm thinking the card was crap, it did it in all games, even the new ones. So I put one of the 460's back in, and all is fine, 120-180 fps in rF. What started this, was my second PCIe slot had a meltdown, The one with the expansion board that supported the other three 460's. So I figured might as well upgrade to one card for now. Well, I'm running one card, just not the one I wanted, and no more triples. I'm going to order another 650ti from new Egg, w/out the oc like the one I put in Willy's PC. It runs flawless, and his machine has lower specs than mine. I think the card was bad, because it would fluctuate power and frames even sitting idle on the desktop, and not just by small amounts.
