Date: May 5, 2013 Time: 7:00am PST (Practice starts at 7:00am PST, Qualifying begins at 8:20am, Race begins at 8:30am) Car: Spec Racer Ford (aka "SRF") (included in base package) Track: Watkins Glen Boot (paid content) Practice/Warm Up: 80 minutes Qualifying: 10 minutes, 4 laps Race: 30 minutes Tune: Open (not fixed). Helios did a quality tune for the SRF a while ago, and it should help for this track. Here it is: SRF Okayama.sto (718 B) Keep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the start times once we are in the sim. You can be late for practice/warm up and can come and go as you please. I don't know whether you can come in once qualifying begins so don't risk it. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. Since you all seem to be road purists, this will be a standing start. Please note that the SRF is our car of choice for the May and June GBR iRacing Road Racing Series events. In July, we will switch to the Star Mazda for our road racing series. Points will reset.

This is Mother's Day. Oh boy. Hopefully that won't be too much of an issue. My wife likes to sleep late on Sundays and usually isn't ready to go anywhere until after noon anyway. Probably a little worse for us on the east coast since this does push into the afternoon a little. But the west coast guys should be fine since it is done by 9:30 am.

We have two living alarm clocks that wake us up around 7 AM so 11:30 is well into our day. I may need to miss it. Oh well.

Hmm, we don't have much flexibility here, since other series are scheduled for the other Sundays in May. We either have our Sunday iRacing series on this date, or no date in May.

If no one else has an issue just proceed and I will try to make it. I'll have to make breakfast in bed for my wife and be extra nice.

We are heading to the inlaws for Mother's Day, but my plan is to do this race and then head out. There is some chance that my wife will veto this plan and thus I will miss the race. Would it help for me to bump up the start time to 8am PST, or even earlier, from the current start time of 8:30am?

Dunno. Between Mother's Day and last minute prep for COTA I can't predict my availability.

Other options we have are canceling this race, moving it to this Sunday, May 5, before Enduracers, or to May 19, a week later, which happens to be a Sunday morning with no event currently on the calendar.

The 19th would hurt your turnout (because of 4-6 people at the V8 COTA race) so the 5th is better potentially.

I'll be there regardless of the date.
Cheers!

If moved I would prefer this Sunday as well. The 19th is the wife's birthday and we're going away for the night on Saturday.
