Ok drivers we are half way through the season already! It's been an exciting run so far. This week we are off the the Monster Mile! 1 mile of harsh concrete and short track battling! Yes that means the tire wear WILL be atrocious. So again , it will be a strategy race. There's going to be a lot of pit stops involved, more then we've seen so far to date. So... do you run it full out and wear out your tires in 25 laps...or do you back it down and go for the long haul? 2 tires or 4? With needing more then one stop at this event, the choice will be open for you to decide and work out your strategy! Server will be up by Friday night for you to get a feel of what the action is going to be like. Tune is very solid right up to the end of the run where it will get loose, as it should. This being our mid season event, there WILL be special bonus points awarded as well outside of our normal awards. That is still being finalized at this time. Looking forward to seeing everyone out for this, should be a great time and some hard fought battles with...maybe a surprise at the finsih line depending on peoples strategies

No prob. By the way. Your wheel arrived... I haven't unboxed it yet, but it looks to have made the trip safely.

As usual, nice race champ. I am sorry I had nothing for you at the end there. You got off the line on the last restart far better than I did and I spent the rest of the time watching you from afar. I also will call out Dan for the awesome tire strategy at the end there. Dan, I assume you pitted on the last caution and got some fresh rubber, or you did a masterful job of managing your tires. You pulled off a crystal clean pass on me with only a lap or two to go and I had no chance. As you know, I don't give up the inside line just because someone sticks their nose in there.
Anyway, it was good to be back guys. Thanks for the awesome race and as always, special kudos to Ian for hosting. You are the man!!!!

Yes, Fun race! Those cautions at the end really helped me. I've never been able to manage my tires at Dover. I debated pitting on that last caution for some fresh rubber but since I was leading, I decided to tough it out. It paid off!

Very fun race But I never fully figured out how to drive those corners Eventually I found that one seemed to work better by staying high and diving fairly late into the corner. The other seemed to work better by letting off from farther back, turning in and then slowly getting back on the throttle. If I did it right I seemed to quite often be able to slingshot past the car in front, quite a few times I had to hit the brakes because the car in front was were I needed to go (Dan, Chris ). Big problem was I frequently forgot which corner was which and also at times (ie the last few laps) got guilty of over-driving the car causing the tires to overheat/wear, car would slide more, I would overdrive more, repeat... ultimately putting it hard into the wall on the final lap (Knight discusses the over-driving thing quite well on the BTCC thread ) ahh well in the end was still an exciting and fun race
