Very nice videos Tony. They are a big help. I had already raced Adalaide before, but watching your video was a great refresher so I didn't have to relearn the track all over again.

I have never raced Symmons Plain, but now that I have seen your video, I feel like I already know the track. It will make getting up to speed a lot quicker and easier.

Thanks guys! i plan on adding many many video to go with the series. including things i see in the races that might out. it takes a little bit of time, to put things together. but well worth it. i think.
i figure, i could make a video a week. and I'm very new to the video editing.and that's where half the time goes but its a lot of fun, and I'm learning more about my driving,and passing it on....

Getting Into The Hunt, To Clutch or Not To Clutch

Excellent video Tony. I have used the clutch for some time, but am still trying to get comfortable with heel toe braking and downshifting.

I agree that it doesn't matter. Some guys are all about being fast and others want to strive for realism. I've spent a good chunk of change over the past couple years on my equipment as I enjoy the emersion factor. I know it doesn't make me any faster than when I used to use paddle shifters and no clutch. In fact it probably slows me down to some extent.

I also agree that the fast guys will typically rise to the top, no matter what assists they use. However, I do think that they help eliminate some of those random mistakes. For example, a fast guy not using TCS may be pushing to close the gap on the guy in front of him. If that guy pushes a little too hard or gets into the throttle too soon, chances are much greater the car will spin, clip the wall, whatever. The guy with TCS will artificially recover from a mistake like that because the TCS will kick in, thus helping to prevent this. That is my only issue with a faster guy using TCS.

But honestly, all it boils down to is this is a GAME. It's not real, so there is no way all guys are going to think the same about it. While I get excited if I win a race, having fun is what really matters to me. Absorbing myself in a race and feeling like I'm really there is my escape from reality.

Excellent video and comments Tony. As you showed in your video, it's easy to put yourself or someone else in a bad position when you overdrive the car, especially at the beginning. The next race will require patience by everyone to get through that first couple laps.

Thanks again Tony, for both the helpful videos and the set ups. I do not know how to do a set up and so I am at a real disadvantage in open set up races. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
