Yesterday and today I ran the Grand Am Sports Car Series in iRacing. Yesterday I used the Riley DP and today I used the McLaren. The races are 80 minutes long. Both days I lost FFB with about 9 minutes left in the race.
I have never had this happen before. I ran a few of these 80 minute races last season. I have also run some 90 minute races in a league I joined.
I can't reset the wheel in game to get FFB back. The only way to get it back is to exit the session and restart the wheel.
The wheel is working fine otherwise. No funny smells or signs of overheating. The air coming out the right side of the wheel is cool.
Is it possible that it's something in the iRacing update?
Is there possibly something in my power settings?
I'm at a loss here and I have a 90 minute league race tomorrow night. I really hope I can get this figured out before then.

Update, I have found a thread on iRacing where others are reporting the same problem. It always happens with 10 minutes to go in the 80 minute race and only started after the latest update. Sounds like it could be an iRacing specific problem.

Is it only happening to Fanatec wheels?

Is it only happening to Fanatec wheels? No, now I found another thread where multiple people are reporting FFB problems with the latest update. It is mostly Fanatec wheels, but there are some other wheel users reporting problems as well. It was even reported in a World Cup Series F1 race. The iRacing Staff has responded in that thread and says they are working on a fix.

Got confirmation that it is an iRacing problem. They are working on a fix. Hopefully my 90 minute league race will be ok tonight.

That didn't go all that bad. Practice, Qualifying and then a 2 hour race and no force feedback problems Plus I qualified 5/7 in my class (Ford GT) and then finished 2nd

I had a 90 minute league race on Saturday night and lost FFB after 70 minutes. They called a full course yellow so I could reset, but I still went a lap down.
It is definitely an iRacing problem and mostly affects Fanatec wheels in road races. iRacing staff has confirmed they are working on a fix.
