couple of great races! thanks everyone! I was running softs for both races, no stop in the first and 1 stop (at 18 laps) in second. Front tires pretty well gone in the first race, especially the left not sure if even a full red bar was left Lots of good racing, pretty happy to have zero incidents in the first race. Unfortunately I got a little carried away in the second race and tapped Troy into a spin, very sorry about that

Congrats to Mr. Hooper for the Barbagallo sweep. This was the track he started with us on back in season 3. If I remember right, he had a rough go, so apparently he had some demons to exercise this evening. Nicely done Jeff. Some honorable mentions from tonight's races. Race 1Best consistency: John Culbert Jr. Most laps led: Armando Edwards Top climber: Kelly Gingras (started 17th, finished 7th) Zero incidents: John Culbert Jr., Sheldon Woloshyn and Kurt Lang Race 2Best consistency: Dale Green Most laps led: John Culbert Jr. Top climber: Kelly Gingras (started 17th, finished 8th) Zero incidents: Dale Green Yes, it was the first track I raced with GBR! I think I even crashed all by myself on a straightaway that night! Last nights races were awesome! Had some really good battles out there!!

Damn you Champ!!! J/K. Looks like your in mid season form. I thought I had a good chance to get you in 1st race, but you showed why your the champ. Congrats bro!! I need to practice pitting, I noticed Jeff was consistently faster than me by 3-5 seconds in the pits . Hawks sorry for jumping in front you when i was exiting the pits, I didnt see you until the last second. 2nd race I was glad nobody was near me when my screen minimized I would of felt really bad messing somebody else's race up. Had a nice 3 way battle going with John and Jeff until that happened. Congrats to Dale & John for getting podiums and good job to everyone for not having any pile ups in T1. Props to Tony D for the tune!!

Sorry for the race 1 tap Craig. I completely forgot where I was. No worries Dan. I was able to get back on the track quickly. Sorry about the mic muting issue guys. I hope you enjoyed putting the kids to bed with me. Speaking of kids, I missed hearing Hawks tell his kids to leave him alone. All we could hear was the kids voices. LOL!

Congrats Jeff on the wins and to the other podium finishers.
Wow what a intense couple of races and no big dust ups in the first turns in either race at the start.
First race for me was going fine Qualyed 10th and moved up a few positions untill a huge lag when I lost all the cars, I was following close to someone up the hill and when the cars popped back in I was on the inside of the car in a turn, we slapped sides which sent me over onto the inside curbing as I was on the gas up the hill. I went shooting off track into the guardrail. Lost a couple of positions in that deal.
Race two, got a better start moved up a few positions. and just held on. I had learned in the first race that I could go longer on the softs then I had thought so changed my strategy to 1 stop race. After the pit stops played out with some doing 2 I found I was in 5th place chasing 4th but I could see 1st also so we were all together going through traffic. The 3 positions ahead of me changed around but I just didn't have enough to get in the mix as I was just trying hang with them. As Jason's tires went off I almost had a chance but then my tires started go over the cliff the last 2 laps and had nothing for him.
Some great fun intense racing, I had no issues with lap traffic and great job everyone on the starts going through turn 1.
The next track, wow talk about technical turn city.

Had a blast last night. Got my best finish in a long time in Race 1, with a 6th. Race 2 was looking like I was going to be able to get another top 10, but ended up getting turned around a couple times after a little contact. Oh well, that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Still had some great battles throughout the race...including a little 2 wide where we probably shouldn't have fit. In the end I had to settle for 13th, after getting by Sheldon w/ only a couple laps left in the race.

Speaking of kids, I missed hearing Hawks tell his kids to leave him alone. All we could hear was the kids voices. LOL! My oldest was in the room the entire time working on a paper. In between races I was trying to help her with Microsoft Word. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy with me afterward as I couldn't pause the race to help. . I apologize if you guys heard anything. I need a sound proof vault with a locked door.

I was actually glad that I was not the only one with kid issues last night, although admittedly, my "kid" chatter was much more disruptive. As Dale suggested, I may go ahead and add push to talk to Teamspeak to augment the mute button.

I use the mute switch on my mic quite often, but sometimes I don't hear them talking to me initially as I have my headphones on. It took every bit of concentration I have to keep that car on track last night. The adrenalin was still going afterward and didn't get to sleep until around 1 am. I know....I have issues.

I for one cant fault either of ya for being good fathers. and hearing the kids in the back ground dosent bother me. i use push to talk. so you guys cant hear me cussing or ranting. i drop a lot of F bombs. when i talk and the kids and wife's and girlfriends. probable don't need to here that. LMAO!!!!!!

One of these nights I'll race Boza and/or Hooper on equal tires and see how it actually works out. Until then I'll continue to lose races on the final 2 laps because they can run on Soft tires longer than I can somehow. I really, really hope every race isn't a tire crapshoot.
Having said that, clearly the idea is working; it's just working against me. No fault but my own, I just can't figure out why.
I ran Intermediates to start Race 1, thinking in my head that Jason meant "no pit stops" when he actually said "no mandatory stops." My screw-up. So when I finally pitted, I was able to blast up through the field from 11th to 3rd in the last several laps on Softs, but by then the usual suspects had a 10 second lead on me.
The fact I held Jeff off for the first two laps and even re-passed him, driving my absolute ass off, makes me a feel a little better knowing he was on Softs.
Race 2, I went Soft, Soft, and then for my last stop, I put Inters on the left and Softs on the right. Other than Jeff still being able to drive Qualifying laps on Softs long after everyone else has burned them off somehow, I think I made the right call. Had Jason been able to hold Jeff up for even one more lap, he would have been my hero.
Oh well. Still lots of racing left this season.
