Ok gentleman, Spazcar Home Town is about to get under way this upcoming week. Make sure you have the skin pack! We'll be running at Bristol this Tuesday night! (Based off the actual real life ASA Bristol 200) Server is up and here is my tune for you to try it's an easy setup to drive for that many laps and netted me a 3rd in the RFN event and if it hadn't ben for a pit snafu I'd have won. So give it a try and you'll how easy these cars are going to be to drive this time around. All 5 tracks will be based on Nascar short tracks and I have top 3 tunes for them so no one has to struggle. Hope for a decent turn out! Bristol Tune -gets placed in the jnsBristol folder Attachments:race.svm (3.61 KB)

Spaz, Boza and I tried to get on the server last night but neither of us could find it. I turned a few laps offline, and Holy Shit! Very nice mod! This is going to be a blast!

New mod, you may have had to open the mutlilplayer file and change the concurrent servers from 400 to 4000, only way I could find me own damn server..lol
Ya I really enjoy this mod, I race it ever Saturday morning, and they just moved their Tuesday night series to Wednesdays so I can participate for the full event ( I just make it for the first heat then head off for Spazcar. Few of them should be here tonight at Bristol. And they coming to run Spazcar I believe, or least some. I'll know better once I get the post up in their forum this week.

Why is there no spotter? Not sure I really care for this version of the mod. I know I don't like the sounds. And the cars to me feel... funny...
Don't get me wrong, I WILL still run it. But only because of the people.

They built the mod to accurately represent the actual feel of of late model and super latemodels on short tracks. Generally no spotter. .also no announcer to tell you to start your engines. The physics are base off current trend in super late model suspension technology. Means big sway bar and stiff right rear spring as a base. Old tuning ideas are out the window. There maxed wedge is an rfactor limitation compensation. Tire heat is also a key factor. Take like 5 laps before car settles into groove. Sounds are my pet peeve. Sound pack makes it better....but still not right. The devs are working on it..but rfactor 1 has it limitation.

Got a big fire by my house. I think it blow north east of me and should miss us. Having said that I got no clue wtf it going to do to power and cable lines in the neighbor hood. Guess we'll see come race time, I'm not on the evacuation list yet and really don't thing it will shift this way. I do like in a subdivision too and not the outer ring so should be ok. For those that want a spotter in the mod...
just copy from VHR plugins and put it in same spot in RFN

I just want to say thanks to everybody that came out last night it was a good time at Bristol. I'm glad that most people enjoy the mod and got to meet Brian and the rest of the crew that are involved with RFN. For couple you that dropped out early in the race I apologize that I didn't have the server setup right I will make sure that for next week's events that everything is in place so that no one goes out of the race due to the mechanical failures that the mod has built in for realism. As always my goal with Spazcar is to have fun and close competitive action. I think we saw a bit of that last night. I now have the batch file figured out so I will be able to clear penalties for us and also I will make sure that I have the caution buttons mapped. Apologies for those that couldn't complete the event as usual it was the first night out of the box and there was a few things get worked out. One thing I have to mention I'm extremely proud of you guys for having everything worked out and ready to race it was nice to everybody had the skin pack download it and that there was no errors. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to make sure you are ready to go. The tune that Brian handed out last night is essentially a bass tune for almost all the tracks with a little tweaking here and there. So use that for next week at Rockingham I will post my tune that I have for it in the next race thread. I do have the server up so you're welcome to hop in a practice on it at any time. And if you are practicing offline it will be a days race not night. Thanks again everyone for your support and see you Tuesday night at Rockingham!

Enjoyed these cars on this track (I like short tracks ). I was surprised to see that I had the pace of some of the series regulars (non-Spazcar guys)...even late in the race. Even with the damage after getting turned around, I found myself dogging the leader trying to get my lap back... It was the closing stages of the race, and I noticed we were catching Spaz and Tony...I was hoping...oh was I hoping. Then the back end broke loose w/ only 3 to go or so, resulting in a lazy spin. If I hadn't lost that lap when I got spun/wrecked, I could've actually been dicing for the win.....kinda crazy. Shit happens, had fun anyways. Can't wait to see their NE/Wheelen Modifieds when they get around to building that mod. That'll be some fun.
