Date: Sunday, June 23, 2013 Time: 7:00am PST (70 minute Warmup/Practice starts at 7:00am PST, Qualifying starts at 8:10am PST and race starts at 8:20am PST) Cars: McLaren (paid content) Track: Brands Hatch (paid content) Warm Up: 70 minutes Qualifying: 10 minutes, 4 laps Race: 40 minutes Tune: Open.
Keep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the race start time once we are in the sim. You can be late for warm up and qualifying and can come and go as you please. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. Because you all are road purists, this will be a standing start.
Keep in mind that the Porsche Supercup series follows our race and so please try to make that as well before you go about the rest of your Sunday with your families.

Bump for this Sunday's event. See my first post for details. I am very much looking forward to this. This is a new car and track combo for me.

I'll have to see if I have the track. I'll try to make it if I do, as I do like Brands Hatch.

Great race this morning. Thanks for coming out guys.
Our next race is Sunday, July 28. I suggest we stick with the McLaren, but what track should we do? How about Road Atlanta?
For August and September, I suggest we go with the Corvette. Thoughts?

Had a good time. Just renewed Iracing yesterday after it had been expired for a few months (finally got the 50% discount code). I didn't have Brands Hatch, so bought it and a few others. I think I have Road Atlanta, but I also picked up Road America, Mosport, Oulton Park and Sonoma. Damn it gets expensive quick. Troy went into light speed and Dale and Boza had a couple crashes, so was able to bring it home in 2nd (slowly but surely). I like the McLaren, but wouldn't mind trying the Ford GT for a race. I have it, just haven't run it much. Thanks again for hosting Craig. You are doing a great job running the Iracing series.

Well Numpty Nuts here did his usual trick of practising in the wrong car 'cause he got his weekends mixed up. Still managed to be consistent and keep on the track until a coming together sent me off to the pits. Atlanta? not sure if I have but fine, Corvette? heh, well why not, it's not like I can compete with you guys in any of the iRacing cars so it's all the same to me Maybe it will surprise me.

Maybe we should try the Kia cause your pretty fast with fwd cars.

Yeah, they are what I am best at, I can push them far harder than RWD, just don't feel them at all. Ah it's all fun and sure one day it may click, I have not been at this Sim racing long in the scheme of things. I take hope in Sheridon who is no longer Old Slow Fred but, New Quick Fred.

Great race everyone. iRacing has become my main playground the last several months and it's starting to show I guess. My favorite series is the IndyCar ovals, but I also like to run some of the road series too. The McLaren can be pushed a little harder than some of the other cars, but when it bites, it usually bites hard. I had already run a few races with this car/track combo in the official series, so it didn't take me long to get up to speed.
Things will probably be a little different in the Star Mazda. That car requires a different driving style and it will come around in a hurry if you start to push too hard. It's a fun car to drive, but takes a lot of skill to drive fast.
