I can take Troy in the Caddy, but he is light years faster than me in the Star Mazda. Our only hope is that he crashes early. I checked the stats for this season. There have been 3 races where you and I have been in the same split running the Caddy together. I beat you in 2 of those races and you beat me in 1 of them. Let's get together this weekend and settle this. I haven't run the Caddy at Interlagos yet, but I really like the track and have run many races there with other cars. I think I can take you. By the way, we don't need dissension in the ranks right now. We have a big race at New Hampshire tomorrow morning in the NASCAR iRacing series. I need a crew chief with a level head, one that is not jealous and out to prove that he is better than me. We are currently 11th in our division. If we are going to get a top 5 finish, we need to get a couple of wins between now and the end of the season. I almost got one last week at Daytona, but you did not show up and thus I did not have the edge I needed to best the competition. Instead, without your help, I had to settle for 2nd place. |

Race is on guys. Session is now open. Qualifying starts at 8:10am PST and race starts at 8:20am PST.

Crazy race today. Lots of concentration required to keep that little beastie under wraps. I gave Chris a couple of pucker moments when I lost it but fortunately didn't collect him nor did I damage my car.
Look forward to the next one.

Jaysus I was so tense trying (and failing a lot) to keep the car between the lines my hands are still aching. I had to reduce the FFB of my wheel to almost nothing just to get through the Porsche race LOL

I got a blister from that race. Good fun. Wish I did t have a visit to the pits. Can't wait for the next one.

Great race yesterday. That car takes intense concentration to keep on the track. I probably have a little more experience than most with the car. I have been in 37 official races including 6 at Lime Rock. I also run it in a League every other Saturday night.
I used a different Strategy than I had been using in the SRF races. When I got out front, instead of pushing it looking for that 46.xxx lap, I just concentrated on hitting my marks and keeping it on the track. My lap times were actually better at the start of the race and fell off towards the end. I had a 1x for an off track and a couple of close calls in turn 3 where the car tried to come around on me, but other than that, I was able to keep it pointed in the right direction and on the track.

Pretty clean race, I did have one spin though. No contact with anything. I was hoping to be able to hold off Dave for 3rd, but I had a BIG moment in (I think) T1, just a few laps from the end. I didn't spin, but I came about as close to spinning as you can w/o actually following through. Dave just ducked inside and drove by like I was standing still. I'll take a 4th for the first time firing up iR in a month or 2.  |

I had to call in the tow truck and I came back out in 4th about 16 seconds behind you. I was settling in thinking I had no chance but started seeing the gap fall. I didn't think I would get you but you just never know with these cars. I had nothing for Kelly and Troy. I noticed Kelly had some incidents later int he race so I wonder if I would have gotten closer had I not wrecked. Good job to Troy keeping it straight. Too bad the next one is a month away! |

Too bad the next one is a month away! I can schedule more iRacing events on Sunday mornings, since that time slot is currently open the Sundays we are not running. |
