I figured I would contribute a couple resources I found for Motec, if anyone is interested.

Motec Project Layout
This gives you the template within motec so you don't have to create your own.


GTR2 Motec i2 Pro Beginners Guide
This is a pdf guide to the layout above. Both of these were developed for GTR2, however they seem to work just fine with rFactor. Also, I believe Motec i2 Pro is required (rather than just the basic version of Motec).

If you have any questions about Motec setup or analysis, let me know and I can try to help you out (considering my meager skills).

What extra overhead does running Motec add? It looks like a great addition for telemetry but as my current system is on the 'barely' acceptable to run rFactor, I am concerned about any kind of performance hit.

I can't tell it's even running but I've got two cores sitting idle when rFactor is running.

If you're concerned, turn off replays and you should have more than enough wiggle room for MoTeC.

Oh? I didn't know you could turn off the replays. I will do that ASAP!

Can someone give a quick description of how to use Motec? I have everything installed but so far I can't get any data to it. When I start a practice session, I hear Data Acquisition is Off. I'm not sure how to turn it on and then get Motec to see it.
