In our last race I saw no lights anywhere and didnt move until i saw the car in front of me go. This has happened a few times and I know Smokey has the lights come up on his HUD and was wondering where is the setting for that?

GiD is what I use. It might be called TrackMap now. Fazerbox is the creator. It does a crapload of other cool stuff too.

oh  not sure I can use that since I am using SoftTH so I can run dual monitors. I think that GID uses the same dll as softTh. |

yeah it uses the same d3d9.dll that softTH uses so I don't think I can use both/

There is a way to specify alternate d3d9.dll in the GID INI file. See the documentation. It is designed to work with other plugins. That said, I don't know for sure if it works with SoftTH.

You can also cycle through your LCD displays. One of the displays will show "RACE TIME: " at the bottom. It will remain blank during pre-race. When the green drops, the timer will start ticking (up if the race distance is based on laps, down if the race distance is based on time). It's not quite as nice as another set of lights, but it works and is part of the standard sim.

This has happened a few times and I know Smokey has the lights come up on his HUD and was wondering where is the setting for that? the weird thing is those lights have not been there the last coupla races.... they seem to be the tracks that have been edited by richo so im wondering if they come back again at next track. but since I did a W7 reinstall ive had to turn speed limiter on manually when starting from shed (it was always on before) and the GID disco has disappeared off the right hand side screen when not on track & in main menu so im waiting & seeing |
