One thing we can't deny is that Jason's changes to tires have really introduced a new level of strategy to this series.
We really saw that last night with various soft/inter schemes combined with 1/2/3 stop options meant all sorts of interesting battles up and down the field.

Well what can I say, I'm just blowen away that I won that race and thank you guys for the congrats. Congrats on Sheldon's best finish and to Nick and Dale on your podium finishes.
Love the track once you get the knack of the flow to it. Got into the 11's first time on the night before and had made a Qualy set to do it. Then in official practice I was equal to it with the race set, so that is what I started Qualy with and got an 11.6. Decided to try the Qualy set again and got my PB with it to start 3rd I think.
The start of the race I almost threw it all away hitting the left wall in the kink and slidding up along side of Jeff brakes locked up going into turn one thinking it was over and I was going to hit the wall, but managed to make the corner at the last second. Nick and Jeff gapped me a bit but I started to gap 4th also. My stratergy was 15 laps on softs, I noticed my tires were still just below half when I came in so knew I'd be good to make a charge at the end if needed. Second pit stop I went to lap 30 then went a little harder after coming out, but noticed after passing John that there was a growing gap back to Nick when I got into the lead. So I didn't push too hard to make a mistake and toss it away. So thanks to some guys having issues I managed to stay out front to the end.
Thanks to the guys I passed no issues at all, great racing.

great track, great race! thanks everyone, was a lot of fun! thanks to Ced for hosting a couple sprint races a week or so ago, really helped to get a feel for the track. and also thanks to Nick for the tune, really noticed I could keep the power on after coming out of turn 8 and I think that shaved some time off my laps Keep meaning to review my races to see if I was driving fairly but all too often don't find the time... I was pretty aggressive with the curbs on this track especially turns 6, 7, 8 so if I was cutting them excessively please let me know

Particularly on exit--I came out RIGHT in front of Tony after my stop-n-go, and by the time I was in 5th gear and moving well, I was JUST approaching the Turn 1 kink. I don't know if Tony did slow down or not, but it looked like it, and thank you for that, otherwise it could have been a huge mess. lol!!! yeah i lifted. i was running my own race at that point. trying to save something for the end. and in the aspect it worked getting into the top 10's. i burned my tire to the core in the last couple laps tring to keep rich behind me. did work he got me by half a car i thinik. we are at mid season and its time. to grab all the points i can get every week. and at at townsville everyone one brought there game its only going to get tougher from here. so my point is thinking of the bigger picture?!?!?!?

Somebody gotta post that replay and guys you need to post the laps where you had some action so us poor saps who missed it came get to the fun quickly.

I went and bought a 50' RJ45 cable today. I'll string it out during races so that shouldn't happen again (knock on wood). I tried the powerline deal before and ended up taking it back. Either the wiring in my house is fubar or I got a bad one. Once I know exactly where the permanent home will be for my rig, I'm calling my phone company and have them install a new internet outlet.

Really enjoyed the race Wed night. I scraped the walls a few times but no serious damage. My one stop strategy went out the window pretty fast. Started with softs and then went with soft/inter combos for the rest of the race. Thanks to everyone for not running me over. Tried to anticipate the faster car overtakes and assist with a "left or right" via Teamspeak. It really helps if you give a shout out as you approach. A special thanks to Krisech for the Spotter Plugin. It helped me keep focused on the driver(s) ahead of me that I had a chance to catch.

Didn't want to overwhelm you with too many highlights at once, so decided to wait a couple days after I posted the Hidden Valley video. Here is both the qualy overlay and the highlights. I'm still pissed I lost connection on this one! Great track. Event 07 - Townsville Street CircuitQualifying OverlayHighlights
