The right spoke on my T500 cracked and a couple buttons popped out. Dammit!!! Already email Thrustmaster about it but I also went on and ordered the Ferrari wheel from Amazon. Hopefully it will be here before Wednesday....

That is an odd place for it to break. My guess is it's a faulty rim and it should be covered under warranty. Hopefully Thrustmaster doesn't give you as much crap as they gave me about my TH8RS.

I notice that rim comes with padle shifter attached, Wont the old paddle shifter get in the way??? The ISR review addressed that point. They said it was close but ultimately not a problem. Sorry to hear about the broken wheel Jeff. That bites. Sent from my HTC One X using proboards

Jeff, That new rim is pretty small in my opinion. I don't know how big you are... If you have a smaller frame it might not be a big deal, but for me I feel cramped using it for some reason. I would recommend removing the paddle shifters if you are going to be using the new rim. You will need to make a conscious effort to keep your fingers away from them otherwise. They take about a minute to remove, so it's not a big deal. If the rim is too small, you could always do this: That's a $50 ebay wheel with momo/sparco/etc. mounting hole pattern. 350mm diameter rim. I machined that little adapter so it bolts right onto the new Ferrari rim base. Oh... and make sure you get that original replaced... That's a bit of a joke.. sheesh

So after several emails to Thrustmaster "support", they are telling me the wheel has been dropped to cause that damage and that is not covered under warranty. Stupid fuckers! I have explained several times that the wheel was unboxed and bolted directly to my cockpit. It has received nothing but TLC from me! I guess I'm screwed. I'm going to try to cancel the Ferrari wheel I ordered, I don't think I want anything more to do with Thrustfucker.

Well, they're off my list for future wheel purchase. Do they not realize that sim racers that buy high-end gear are usually in a league (or multiple leagues) and tell others about negative customer support?

Sorry Jeff, that is complete BS in my opinion. As I stated, they pulled the same crap with me. They were very accusatory in the tone of their emails. Sounds like it's their business practice.

Yeah, they fuckin' suck for customer support. My only option right now is going with Dales idea of hooking up my old Fanatec CSR and leaving the T500 plugged in so I can still use the pedals. My CSR loses FFB after a few minutes though, plus it will probably feel like using a Wii wheel compared to the TM....

I have no idea what good it will do but... I am going to email the person from Thrustmaster that I GAVE one of my brake mod kits to after they ordered one and explain the situation. Who knows what the result will be, maybe nothing.. However, I have single handedly sold ------ (edit... er.. a lot) of their TH8RS shifters for them via SFA1 adapters. Maybe they have a decent bone in their body and will help you/me. That's a freaking joke man, seriously. Maybe I don't carry much weight but I will do what I can. I know you didn't drop it.

Hey Jeff. When I was having trouble with my circuit board ,I called there support number. I got through every time to a tech. Maybe talking directly to someone might be a better route. They were right on top of everything for me.

That bites Jeff. I also had a negative experience with their support personnel when I was having trouble with my USB connection.

That sucks on all levels, to have them essentially accuse you of lying must be really galling...
