Aw yes!
Hopefully I have a bit more luck than I did last weekend. But I'm thinking that Lambo is going to be tough here being wide open with a lot of sweepers. We'll see if the Saleen is up to the task.

Any hints to getting these cars to behave? The Aston seems much more twitchy than it should be.

Hit up Tony. He's been campaigning the Aston this season, so will likely have a set he can share with you. I think I may have a set from Laguna I can share next time we're on track together.....but the gearing (and possibly whole setup) may be whack for RA.
Where is the car twitchy? Corner entry? Exit? On throttle? Off?

Game crashed with about 10 minutes to go. I figured something was up... framerates were 1/3 of normal all through the race.

Bummer Dale! Thanks to everyone who came out to play. I will firm up the rules for when we use a shortened race format so there is no confusion. My apologies to anyone who was saying WTF!? Congrats to John and Chris on the class wins. Also thanks to John for the impromptu education this morning on the concept of downforce! Cheers!

Had fun with this one. I actually fared a bit better than I was expecting. Dale's disco was a double edged sword. On one side I was glad, as it gives me chance to make up some of the points I lost from missing the last race. On the other side I was looking forward to a nail biter at the end. Of course as it was it got plenty exciting, as I BARELY had enough fuel. I was down to 6L, and don't know that I could have made it another lap. Thanks for hosting Kelly. I do love this mod. Still one of my favorites, hands down. I just wish we could get more people into it. After the race Tony & I were figuring out how to do driver swaps. Turns out, it really isn't that difficult once you do it a couple times. I can foresee some fun with the AI in the near future.

Wasn't sure I was going to make this one (went to a b-day party last night about 2 1/2 hours away and got home very late). This track and I have never seen "eye to eye". Jumped on about 30 min before race and only managed 1 or 2 timed laps (that grass is my nemesis). About 3 seconds off Chris's pace. At the start, Chris, Tony and Dale pulled away from me fairly quickly. About half way into the race, started to find a bit of a groove and improved my laps times by a couple seconds. Dale and Tony each had an off and put me in 2nd. Coming out of the pits with about 25 min to go, Dale got back around me. I think he had a tangle with a P2 or something and I found myself back in 2nd. He was starting to close in again, then had a dreaded disconnect. After driving clean all race long, I went off at the last corner with about 6 minutes to go. Lost my front splitter, but was able to limp it around and finish 2nd as Tony had to pit a second time for fuel. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Again, thanks for hosting Kelly. Congrats to John and Chris for their respective wins. Chris was nails at this track. Always enjoy the Sunday morning races.

Well I practiced a little for this one and found that more downforce was 1.5 seconds per lap quicker. So I might have been slow on the striaghts but the car was like glue through the carousel. I must have made .7 every lap there on all the other P2's. Took off at the start and never looked back. Car was perfacet and I drove slow enough to win. Had pressure from Boza for the first lap and a half until he went off, but I knew I just needed to keep him behind until my tires warmed up and then I would be able to pull away. Drove smooth and steady and since this was my first race back since Lime Rock, I figured the racing gods owed me one and this was it. Thanks for hosting and all the great chatter on TS. I need to learn how not to talk and drive so I make less mistakes....
