I just ordered my TH8RS and I am interested in learning proper heel/toe technique and this mod seems like a very good option. Grinding Tranny Mod 2.00My shifter should arrive next week. I am hoping to have it before our next V8 race. I know the V8's use the sequential shifting but Tony's videos show him using heel/toe and I would like to learn this too. |

you can still heel & toe with sequential (they do) Tony & Hawks do i havent bothered as im under slight noise restictions in my house lol

That mod comes pre-installed on the HistorX mod and folks usually delete it. You have to get your shifts perfect with it on.

here you go brother. Hawks and my self use the clutch, the auto clutch is off.
now you can up shift and down shift even with damage at 100%. and not tear up the car.when not even using the clutch like this. now note its a style of driving and not everyone gets it.or likes it. its preference.
heres a video i did in the hunt series about clutching.
i get alittle long winded. so about 3 1/2 4 mins in the video is where it all starts lol!!!
And heres Hawks pedal cam from a few weeks ago. every nicly down. he only used the clutch on down shifts like most real drivers do.and he even threw in some ft/rt foot breaking as well... Kudos!!!!

i tried it for 5 mins and deleted it.....personally i thought it was horrible and annoying

Yeah, you can certainly heel-and-toe in the V8. With some of my early tunes I had to or I'd lock up the rear wheels in heave braking/downshift zones. i tried it for 5 mins and deleted it.....personally i thought it was horrible and annoying This. They came to the same conclusion at efnet, I believe. An additional annoyance is that the plugin hijacks a keyboard mapping for shifiing into neutral during every shift. Yeah... that's real fun wneh you have a quickchat mapped to "N". My first race at efnet: "Sorry... Sorry... Sorry... Sorry... SorrySorrySorry.... Sorry............. Sorry.............. Sorry............" |

Ok, I had read over at efnet that they used this mod with the historix but I guess they don't use it anymore.
Also I am hoping that the heel/toe method will help with my braking. I seem to have to brake so much earlier than most guys and I can't figure out what to do different, so maybe heel/toe will help with that.
