Silverstone.... DRM...... Hmmmm..... Not my favorite track, but one of my favorite mods. So I'll be there.

Aw shit! Looking forward to tonight.
Have you run the '79 layout yet? I recall enjoying it when I was testing tracks. But I guess I've always liked most of the Silverstone layouts.

Great track choice for these cars. I don't think I've seen that layout since GPL ('67 doesn't have the chicane though). You can't come in any more cold than when the game is loading and you hear "5 minutes to quali". LOL.
I don't know if it was the lack of work stress (mid-year budget projections were worrying me but I ended up showing a good surplus) or the fact I was just showing up to have fun but I could do no wrong. Every time I got the car out of shape in the corners, I was able to drive out of it with opposite lock or a dab of braking.
Jeff and I had a great battle in Race 2 after the pit stops. I was a few seconds behind him before pitting and a few ahead after. The gap between up was growing/shrinking as we each made little errors but I knew from the early race pace that we were going to be very evenly matched. As usual, Jeff was eating me up in the braking zones and lucky for me, the M1 pulled the gap back out on the straights.
Then I started driving deeper into a couple of corners and that protected my lead. I went too deep in the chicane with about 3 laps to go and had to straight line it but lifting off the throttle meant no time gained... in fact I think I lost a second because Jeff closed right up on me.
Even without the double victory, that was one of the most fun car/track combos I've raced in months. I don't know why the rest of you guys aren't showing up on Wednesday... these cars are balls-out crazy fun!

Had a blast last night. Can't believe I ran out of gas in Race 1.....I'm pretty sure I had enough of a lead to hang on to the end. All the time I lost w/ 2 to go was because I was fucking w/ the pit menus when I could. With how fast the 935 gobbles up the "straights", didn't leave me a lot of time to make changes.
Race 2 was interesting. Lots of muck ups. Stuck with it and caught a couple bones late in the race. Had a hell of a battle w/ Wolf right at the finish. Bum luck for Custom though, that let Wolf & I promote a position.
Thanks for coming out.

Yeah, C45 had great pace last night. The only reason I got by him was he had a little bobble at the chicane... I got the perfect line through and with more momentum on corner exit the M1's straight line pull sealed the deal.
My apologies to Ed for spinning him at T1 in Race 2. He didn't lose a place so no real harm done but it was sloppy and that incident was all me. I gotta remember to use my chat before coming up on others. With Jeff hounding me I was so focused that I forgot.

even though I struggled with mistakes and my F'n wheel, I also thought the track was perfect for these cars. I'm going for a walk to Radio Shack to buy a switch in a few minutes.

So focused on getting through that turn without running into anyone that I did not see you behind me. had a great time giving and taking with Zed. Sorry about the screw up in R2 at the finish line. It took a few seconds for me to figure out I could not restart the engine because I cooked it again. By that time you guys were all over me before I could escape to the pits. Had a blast, love this mod, just got to get this over revving problem fixed.
