Ok well not really a full blown crash but it minimizes. Happen twice today before the race and once in the race. Tonight I was just running down the front straight and game minimized after I heard what sounded like the wheel being turned off but the wheel was fine and game still running. I turned off avast and super anti spuware before the race thinking they were the culprits. Only thing running beside normal background programs were Fanaled's and teamspeak. I have the newest version of both. I even restarted just before entering pre-race warm ups. Any ideas of were to look. Fanatec Porsche wheel and pedals both work fine in GPL, RBR and race room. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jim

Windows updates? I've had my game minimize to the desktop several times on Wednesdays as that is generally when MS releases updates.

I know when windows pops up the desktop color prompt it sounds like the wheel turning off. Maybe try this. Right click your shortcut and go to properties, then Compatibility and check the box next to "Disable Desktop Composition". That may be the problem, if not, the game will still benefit from it.

Well no updates I thought of that and I disabled desktop composition. I checked the windows problem log and it said it was the display adapter. I run an ATI 7700 HD, so it should have no problems. I don't have it over clocked or running any crazy setting. I did update to the latest driver so we will see if that works. Thanks JIm

If the event log entry refers to the display adapter not responding and is being reset/recovered then Google "windows graphic card TDR". Be ready for a lot of hand-waving and no clear solution... you'll just have to try things until it works.
A TDR event is when Windows doesn't get a response from the video driver within a pre-determined time interval. Windows assumes the driver had hung and restarts it (which may be the disconnect sound you hear). My experience was that really high AA settings at night races makes this situation more likely. That said, there are 5 or 6 unrelated proposed causes of TDR events.

Ok thanks I will check the AA but I haven't changed it since I installed the mod. This is the 1st week of problems. I have a couple days off next week so I will fiddle around then. I think I had it on 4 or 6. What do you run yours at? Jim
