Calendar placeholder. edited by Ian
This Tuesday it's the continuation of the Spazcar Speedweeks! We'll be back at Daytona for the Twin 25's. This will be a non points QUALIFING event for the big race. We will be battling for positions 3rd and back. Front row goes to previous Daytona winners of the Truck and NWS series. First event will be a random order. Second will be a reverse order of first race finish. Combined finishes from both events will determine your starting position in the big one!
Official track open 7:00 PM PDT Drivers meeting 7:20PM Green Flag 7:30PM
Looking forward to seeing you all out there. Remember get some practice in , these cars are a lot different then what we've run in the past!

Had a good time tonight. Thanks to everyone for coming out and not beating up on the new guys too much Congrats to Jeff on snagging both events. ..he'll be starting pole next week with lane choice. I also want to say thanks to guys for be diligent on the skin packs and being ready to race without issue. Means alot that I can pack as much racing into our time slot as possible. Remember get some practice in! Even if it just with the AI! Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

Thanks for hosting Ian. Really enjoyed the races. Starting to feel more comfortable racing with the guys. I just need to learn to stay out of Tony's way, LOL. Will be practicing entry into turn 3. Difficult to judge when running in a pack. Can't wait until next week.

The biggest problem I seen was with the guys running on the bottom all the time, because of that, when they enter the corners they swing way up and take out the high groove. Where as, if you run high and turn down into the corner, the car sticks. But then you may have someone turn in a bit before you and take the low line away. Which is why I suspect they stay down there. And the guys staying down there and shooting out in the corners is what caused most of the wrecks.
In my humble opinion, staying on the bottom of the track the whole way around is intentional blocking. But that's just me...

New season, new mod version, new feel and new drivers too. All little quirks to work out. But dan is right. If you are holding the bottom line to protect (im not considering that blocking) your position then you either gotta crank the wheel hard or lift a tiny bit into the corner to hold your line and prevent shooting up the track. We've found out these cars dont stick like the NWS cars due to thier greater speed. We now have to drive them different. You also cannot rely on there being someone outside of you to catch your slide up the track and save your ass and keep you low. I'm not going to mandate a minimum "line" around the track but I will be offering an incentive to those who hold their line all race and to the group of drivers that work together to win from the outside line. I know it hasn't looked like it yet. But working together the outside line is actually faster then the inside this time around. Im still happy though with the participation and hope it continues all season long. Yes gentleman. ..we actually have to "drive" this season..not just point it where we want. I had connection issues in race 1, then had to bail with a couple laps to go in race 2, but I think this new version is WAY better. As Ian said, you actually have to drive the car and it can be very challenging, especially in traffic. Should make for a great season.
I know I'll be hit and miss due to my schedule, but will make it whenever possible.
