HistorX Trans-Am - Shake Down Track Day - (8/23)

I'll be hosting a shake down track day for the upcoming Trans-Am series. This is meant to serve as a test session to have some fun and figure out how these cars stack up against each other. I will run multiple 12 minute races with a 5 minute warmup giving drivers a chance to test various cars. I am going to use the Mid-Ohio track that is already loaded up. Let's try to get the first race underway by 7:30 PDT / 10:30 EDT. More details below. Grab a beer and saddle up for some American Muscle.

Dan will be my back up host if I get delayed flying back home from a business trip. I should be back in time, but you never know.

Sounds like fun and I should make it. Thanks for sending the link to the track BTW. What would be a decent lap time that I should shoot for on this track? Jim

Too bad, Craig. I hope you can test some other time. Let me know if you are ever going to be on the server and I will jump on if I can.

Mealworm, I am not sure what a "good" lap time is since I was only doing a handful of laps with each car. I am not a fast driver and these cars are not my forte. I think I was able to get into the low 45's in those quick laps with two of the cars...the Jav and Firebird. I wouldn't doubt 43's or 42's binge the pace for some of the faster guys.

Thanks for the response. I have got some work to do. I got in the 145's but really don't see me getting in the 143's or 142's LOL I may be able to drop a second if I can clean up some sectors. This is going to be fun and thanks for hosting. JIm

No worries. I may be off on the 42's but some of these guys can be a good 1.5 seconds faster than me. I think high 43's for sure but who knows.

Also, I've tested the server automation application. It looks like it is adding weight correctly so there will be success ballast awarded for the regular season!!
