rFactor Quiet Sound

Motec Pro program (here you can add functions, etc. For example, I tweaked mine to be able to view my gas, brake and clutch.

Then you need to patch it with this file for it work. When you open this program, you will have to point it to where the plugin file in located that installed from the previous plugin listed above.

Hawks made the quiet sound pack above that works great but you, like me, may just want to silence the random wheel gun sound. I found that sound is coming from a misnamed file that is supposed to be the crowd cheering. \GameData\Sounds\Ambient\fans_normal_1.wav

I Googled a bit and it's unclear to me if this was an ISI packaging error or some mod we've installed overwrote the file.

You will want to check every mod folder you have to update this. If your fan sound is a small file (like 28 kB) then that's likely the annoying wheel gun sound.

If you install a lot of mods you hopefully have a basic rF folder that you copy for each mod. Remember to check the sound file there too.
