 Round 5 takes us to Asia for the Malaysia Grand Prix. We've run an exhibition here before so it should be familiar. Remember, DRS is not allowed in the series. **NOTE** If the automatic vmod download doesn't work you must install the vmod in the downloads thread. Blue Flags will show but no penalty will be issued. Server will be up this Thursday. I will confirm the lap count at that time but the race will be ~40 minutes long.

I will be there, funny track this one, raced it a lot and never get comfortable at it, some sections yes, others I struggle. Should be fun though and less meeting of walls  |

Well that was a great race, I pulled off two great starts that got me the lead both times and then settled in for constant pressure as I knew I was a couple of seconds off the fasted time. All went well until my tires just fell off the cliff on the penultimate lap and I ran wide, two places lost. But not at all unhappy, a podium is a rare beast for me. I guess the hours I spend in this sim are paying off, I am aware of some of the things that maybe some others are not, like, tires don't just get hot, if you constantly over heat them the rubber will vulcanise, this will mean they loose a lot of performance and grip, so you can have tires that show little wear but are not gripping. Get off the racing line and grip levels fall off a lot, so you have to adjust braking points if you are off that, that is something that can get you if your not used to it. Thanks for coming out guys. I had a good time battling with Knight and Lawyer. I thought I was going to get Lawyer on the final lap. Great racing!

That was awesome guys. I had forgotten how good rFactor 2 feels on my T500RS F1 wheel. You simply cannot beat the rFactor 2 FFB and physics. I love the feel with the F1 car when you get in a groove and start using the downforce. The FFB gets stronger on the edge. Just a little too much gear and/or throttle and you are toast. Love racing on the edge!!!

Thanks for letting me tag along for this one. Was weird since I hadn't run a RF2 race in a while and was hearing strange sounds before the first restart which I found out later were cars crashing. So on the second restart I decided to swing wide and follow the field. After a couple laps I was able to stay with the field so I figured I wasn't that far off on pace. Worked my way up to 4th until some of the mental farts you can't have in F1 happened along with the drastic tire fall off. Ended up making it a two stopper but after looking at lap times found my fastest lap wasn't far off the leader so that was a win for me. As long as there is no scheduling conflict looking forward to the next race.
