If you've updated the server to the newest build I think there's a bug where VMOD names can't have any spaces. Knight will know for sure but Multiplayer got a few issues this time around.

I assume most guys want to run the most recent build. I will update the server and not include spaces in the mod name. If there are major issues we may need to bag this week and wait for another build. So frustrating to have to deal with these issues on a product they say is out of beta and charging the yearly fee.

I gave up being frustrated by rFactor 2 a while ago. Its just not worth it anymore. That being said, I will be disappointed if we cannot run on Sunday morning, since when it works, there is no better F1 sim racing out there.

It's just the stuff surrounding it that makes it frustrating and hosting events in it is no different. As long as we all can join the server we'll run it. Dale is more intimate with the discussions over at the ISI forums. I have lost hope that this would be a stable platform in the next 12 months so I stopped going there.

I had a PC crash during efnet practice last night. Googled the error code and ended up discovering that my SSD (not the OS drive but a second SSD that all my sims are installed on) needs a firmware update to correct a significant issue. So it's 2AM and I'm copying the data off in prep for the firmware. Wish me luck that my PC boots in the morning!

Hope you could make it. I haven't finished watching the actual F1 race so no spoilers!

That was awesome, simply awesome. There is no better F1 sim than rFactor 2. Period. Congrats to Chris on the win and thanks to Dave for hosting, notwithstanding the bugs!!!

Fun though it sucks that Dave found a penalty glitch. Perhaps we should stick to tracks from ISI or those that Race2Play or Knight have used in multiplayer and that are known to be good.
R2P requires something like 3 drivers to test a track for errors before they allow its use.

Just let me know what we are running next and if it is third party I'll run it through the test procedure and make sure it has no game braking bugs, by next race we will be on a new build as well, as these third party mods get older there is always a risk they may get broken, especially the quick conversions but... Nürburgring, that could be a good choice as that is getting a good workout from us testers...

Next tack is Silverstone but I just realized I scheduled it on Easter which is not going to good for some people. I'll look at the schedule and see what to do around the iracing events.

Had a blast this morning. Fun layout, flowed really well. Shame about the drive thru/stop & go clearing being broken, Dave had some really good pace. I did far better than I was expecting. Managed to keep the car more or less clean throughout the race. I did have a couple half spins, including one that resulted in a little wall contact. Too bad Sheldon ran into problems, he was flying. And what about Knight...sitting there quietly in the top end of the grid all race. I owe you a bevie for keeping everyone else occupied.

Heh one slip cost me second, was holding off various challenges the entire race, if they got by I was lost, so just kept it between the lines and hoped my defensive skills would see me through...they almost did LOL
Silverstone, cool at least I wont be learning that one on the day, and there are no issues with that track.
