I've been spending a bit more time with iracing and getting everything dialed in and it's really paid off, I am currently running the iracing global challenge and recently purchased skippy that iam quit enjoying I can usually only get 1 race a week per series with a little practise/tuning session prior so I really got to make my races count For the caddy/Kia series iam currently sitting in 4th 40 points from the leader but screwed myself of a possible top 5 since I missed one week Anyways aside from my 1st race in the skippy which was a bit of a disaster I've racked up 3 wins and 3 podiums in my past 7 races bumping my license up a 120 points and my irating up above 1600 I should have my a license by next week I could have got it earlier by running some Tt but none of the b class content matches up with what I have so ill have to wait. Overall really enjoying the tm and really hope it gets incorporated to all the vehicles sooner rather than later especially to the tin tops but from what I gathered from a recent interview with the physics dev it sounds like open wheelers first than the NASCAR ovals so it doesn't look like any time soon for road racers I think for next season iam gonna attempt to enter the v8 rookie series that's held sat mornings to get a grip on that beast Asides from that I just want that damn btcc car and tracks!! And ill be content

That's great. Congrats on your Skippy success. I am trying to find more time to run that series too. It's been hard. I may buy Montreal tonight to try to squeeze in this week's race.

Thanks, I just bought Montreal yesterday and its very nicely done and only takes a few laps to get accustomed too....tho iam still about 4 secs off the alien pace I've found this series to have the very good drivers run mid day as they are mostly Europeans than any time after 8pm mt the skill level drops off quit a bit and is some what more matched to my skill level...and when the moons align and the others crash out/disconnect ill get lucky and steal a podium spot The hardest part iam having of late is that I've found a level of comfort where I can quickly correct any mistakes and not get punished, but to go faster I know I need to push the limits but haven't found that comfort or confidence in what the car is going to do "in oh shit moments" cause 9/10 it results in a meeting with a wall. My biggest setback currently is braking far too early and not carrying enough speed through corners

Nice to see your havin a blast mate.
Had an awesome week myself, since buying the Radical SR8 I leapt from 2.54 in C to 3.50 in the three races I competed in. The last being probably the best I have ever driven in iracing. Chopped by a guy at turn 1 of Watkins facing me the wrong way and sitting last (14th) went on and drove a stormer and managed to finish 3rd.
I also purchased the V8 which I may have to file away for a while lol. Just like the skippy I can't drive it at all lol. I'll stick with the prototypes for now I think.

I just got my first win in the Skippy. Granted, bottom split but I kept my cool, let the first place guy take himself out and just coasted home. I think there was a big T1 pile up. Glad I qualified for the race.

Great job guys! I have the radical it's a nice ride we should try meeting up for a race weekly I really want to run the v8 but its an absolute beast....anyone interested in running the v8 rookie league next season to gain experience in them? I believe it's held on sat but not 100% sure As for the skippy it's a pretty fun ride Main thing with it is the steering range is a bit smaller than the other cars and you really gotta sling shot it through corners you'll feel a nice load in the tires when done properly For setup set front perch to +4 or 5 Brake bias to 57-58% Psi 19 front and back Race fuel 3.1 Start slow and build up the key to speed is to to be light on the brakes and carry as much speed through the corners...I've found heavy braking to lock up alot causing a wobble and the ass to come around

@ Kelly having the same wheel I found a little tweak that has helped my overall feel and grip in corners and really have no explanation of why but it helps on your wheel st dampening to -1 and drift to +1 dampening makes it a tad rougher on bumps but seems to help with grip and drift lightens the rim a bit and allows me to catch slides better Like I said no idea why it helps but it does for me, I found without it I spun more often ?

I'll give it a try though I'm still coming to grips (no pun intended) with backing off on the FFB settings on my wheel to avoid clipping and such. Thanks for the tip.

You will have 4 drop weeks anyway, so missing a week means nothing. Wait until you get to week 9, that is when you will see yourself catching up with the other guys.
