Date: Sunday, October 27, 2013 Time: 7:00am PST (70 minute Warmup/Practice starts at 7:00am PST, Qualifying starts at 8:10am PST and race starts at 8:20am PST) Car: Ford GT (paid content) Track: Suzuka GP (paid content) Warm Up: 70 minutes Qualifying: 10 minutes, 4 laps Race: 40 minutes Tune: Open. Here is a tune I downloaded from the iRacing forums 12S2_FGT_Suzuka_Race_GR_1.0.sto (1.34 KB) Keep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the race start time once we are in the sim. You can be late for warm up and qualifying and can come and go as you please. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. Because you all are road purists, this will be a standing start. We will do chat via the iRacing 1 room in Dale's Teamspeak server.

Then every time a new road car or track comes out, you will still get the 25% discount even when buying just that one item. That makes the money pit not quite as deep.

I'm just poking some fun at the folks that rage on having to buy content. I have no problem paying for the iRacing quality content for this exact reason. I buy only the content I want/need when I decide I want/need it.
Unlike FM3/4 where I'd buy a whole car pack to get one shitty car with a non-working dash and then get banned for a week on the forums for asking why the dash didn't work.

I don't blame the guys that complain about spending $$$ on content. rFactor has spoiled us.

Picked up this car last night and ran some laps. This is such an easy car to drive its bordering on ridiculous! They didn't nail the sound though as I've run in a few Ford GT's and they certainly have more growl to them but pretty minor.
If anyone is on the fence about picking up the car, don't be. Good pick and you'll enjoy driving it.
Cheers!

the last 4 events have all had 1 piece of content i dont own....i dont mind purchasing tracks but its a bit pointless spending $12 on a car each week ill only run once or twice here.....not that ive been present of late Do you have enough people showing up that you could run multi class races next season? and maybe stick to 2 or four cars that the majority have to cut down on the needless spending on content?

I try to assess this as best as I can before finalizing the schedule. Before the current GT series schedule was finalized, I posted a thread and asked for feedback. Here it is: gbr.proboards.com/thread/2496/schedule-remainder-seasonFor next season, starting in January 2014, I am thinking we go with one popular GT car, such as the Corvette, and possibly the base content Cadillac, that we run them at the most popular and most owned tracks, such as Watkins Glen, Road America, Suzuka and Spa. Before that schedule gets finalized, I will be sure to solicit feedback. Most will probably run the Corvette, but the Cadillac will be there for those of us that like it and/or don't want to spend $$$ on an additional car. Keep in mind that I can run anything in iRacing. If it were solely up to me, we would run the base content Cadillac at base content tracks until the cows come home. LOL! In all seriousness, I very much understand and appreciate the sensitivity to buying expensive content on iRacing. I do not pretend that being a 100%er, as I am, is right for everyone.

Me and my left foot will be there. Done a little bit of practice. A very challenging car/track combo.
