Over at JFF we have an annual 161 lap Bathurst race (yep, the full 1000 kilomtres!). Last year, 41 cars were entered! The event is on the 9 November and it would be great if 1 or 2 teams (up to 3 drivers) from GBR could make a show! Hmm...that time may actually work out for me. If I calculated the time difference correctly, the race would start on Friday, November 8th at 10:00 pm PST (Daylight Savings ends the weekend before this). I could probably manage to do a 2-3 hr stint or so early in the race. Got me pondering it anyway.  |

That might work well. 3 co-drivers each with a 2 hour stint. Only problem is we have to fight on whether to drive a Furd or Holden. Either way we would definitely need to rock the GBR black and yellow livery Jeff made. |

Got a partner yet Nick? I gotta make up for wrecking you at Winton. Is it using the same mod we use here? Yeah I'm set thanks - my "long time" driving partner and I are teaming up. It uses the 2012 ORSM mod which I reckon has a tiny bit more grip than the 2011 version we run here. There are some real aliens that will be runningthis event. Current best time is a 2:06.7 (control tyres). It will probably get down to a 6 flat before too long! |

Smokey and Tony - you guys still want to give this a go? I could do the first stint. If all three of us run it, we could each do a 2 hour stint. If only 2 of us run, I could try to keep my eyes open for 3 hours. Not sure if the race will starts at 9 or 10 pm PST on Friday since Daylight Savings ends the weekend before. Let me know ASAP as registration ends tomorrow.

I just registered on the site, but says an admin has to approve it. Maybe Nick can post for us for the time being and put all 3 of us for now.

Awesome, thanks Nick. I put our names in there. Car # and make is subject to change. If it's the 3 of us, I'm guessing Holden will outnumber Ford. Let me know what you guys want to do asap. I would like to get the black and yellow GBR livery submitted, but looks like some decals need to be added per the rules. I haven't updated a livery for so long, is there any volunteers? Would like to have our names in the window as well. Nothing like waiting until the last minute eh? |
