I fired this up last night via Steam. The modern F1 stuff is very similar to F1 2012. I have not spent much time in the modern cars, except to play around with the driving tests, which I felt were a waste of time, and the scenarios, which are cool. The classic F1 cars are good fun, as are the classic tracks with the "vintage" look. Imola and Brands Hatch are particularly fun to drive. The FFB feels great on my CSW Formula rim, although I did need to tweak the settings to make it feel right. Physics are good, but definitely some arcade, not pure sim like iRacing or rFactor. The graphics are superb, as you would expect from a Codemaster racing game. If you have triple screens, the game should automatically detect them and give you decent default settings. I was up and running with my triples from the get go, no serious tweaking required. I love the sound in the game, particularly of the classic F1 cars. There seems to be clear differences from car to car. Very cool.
Overall, I would recommend this to any gamer or sim racer with an interest in F1. If you already own F1 2012, the classic content alone justifies the cost of the upgrade. Buy with confidence.

Any online support? I was chatting about this with Sheldon. I knew you would get it but would love to see others getting it if we could run it together.

Ironically, I'm half interested in it.....though it's specifically for the classic cars.

Yes, they do have an online component, although I have not played with it yet. I would expect that one of us can set up a room and that we can race the classic cars. Like Chris, the classic cars are my primary interest.

So I have spent more time with this game over the last couple of days. First, here is a link to a really good thread with recommended settings for Fanatec wheels. I started with these settings and then have tweaked them somewhat to suit my preferences. Make sure say "yes" to override input type and pick steering wheel. It helps the FFB a lot. community.codemasters.com/t5/F1-2013-General-Discussion/Recommended-Wheel-Settings/td-p/362116/highlight/trueAs far as graphics, they look great but are not a huge upgrade over 2012. In fact, it is tough for me to see any difference. I started the career mode using Caterham, which was one of only three teams, along with Marussia and Toro Rosso, that was available at the beginning. It is very hard, which was my complaint with F1 2011 and F1 2012. Even on the "Easy" skill level, I could not come close to keeping up. I think I will play primarily the Season Challenge mode, where you can pick any team you want (I picked Red Bull, of course), and the races are short five lap sprints, with one flying lap qualifying. I also anticipate playing the scenarios, although if they are like 2012, they will get too hard too quickly. The classic cars are simply awesome. They sound authentic and drive as you would expect. The classic tracks also look awesome.
