Date: Sunday, November 10, 2013 Time: 7:00am PST (70 minute Warmup/Practice starts at 7:00am PST, Qualifying starts at 8:10am PST and race starts at 8:20am PST) Cars: Star Mazda (paid content) Track: Watkins Glen Classic Boot (paid content) Warm Up: 70 minutes Qualifying: 10 minutes, 4 laps Race: 40 minutes Tune: Open. Here are a couple of tunes, one of which is from our very own Chris Sherburn. It has worked very well for me in the Star Mazda series when we race at Watkins Glen. HeliosStarMazdaWatkinsBoot.sto (1.01 KB) Ian Thornley - Watkins Glen.sto (1.01 KB) Keep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the race start time once we are in the sim. You can be late for warm up and qualifying and can come and go as you please. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. Because you all are road purists, this will be a standing start.

In the League Sessions, it lists the track configuration as Classic Boot. Please don't change it, I would rather run Classic Boot unless the are many objections from others.

OK, I changed the thread to show the Classic Boot configuration.

I have tested a few setups here and found a couple of good ones. I will post them later when I get in my cockpit.

After further testing, one setup stands above the rest. Here it is: GBR Watkins Classic Boot Race.sto (1.01 KB) My best lap with it so far was 1:42.9xx with enough fuel for the race. It may feel a little loose for some. To tighten it up, add some rear wing 1 click at a time. If it is too loose under braking, go up on the brake bias.

As usual, thanks for the sharing with those of us that are drop-ins I hope to practice a bit more than usual... these cars require me to think so much faster than the GT/touring cars.

1:42.9 wow... now where to come up with an extra second is the question.

I may pass on this one. Depends on what's going on that day. Won't have much practice with it.

Nice turnout! Sorry I missed this one. Had a long day yesterday, even fell asleep last night watching the new PBS Jimi Hendrix documentary that I've been waiting for... so I was pretty sure I wasn't waking up early this AM.

Fun race today! Kelly wasn't on TS so didn't hear my 'nipped <him> at the end' comment, lol Was able to stay with Troy for a couple of laps with Kelly right behind. But then the seemingly inevitable happened and I spun, no damage but it threw off what rhythm I had. Next spin wasn't so lucky, should probably grabbed a tow but decided to drive it instead and almost took Troy and Kelly out Fun race at the end trying to stay with Greg, eventually one of us was going to lose it, this time I got ahead Neck and neck with Knight at the race finale, good thing the race ended there or I would have had to try and get by him again

yeah no TS for me. I have chatter in my ear every single day at work and having it going on in my downtime can be a bit much so I needed a break.
I threw on some tunes and just drove around. I ate the wall and didn't look too bad until I tried to come back on track and instead of going straight my car steered 90 degrees right in the path of Craig. Sorry about that man, that was all me.
Tried to drive it but couldn't do it so had to get a tow back. Fortunately I now have a handle on the pit menus and quick pit chat things so I cleared any service, got a new car and ripped back out on the track.
Cheers!
