Hmm, Well graphically, it's rf1, I see nothing that makes it stand out over say enduroracers and a virtua track. The FFB is okay but not as good as rF2, but that is such a personal thing anyway. Sounds are great and the physics seem all right, but what would I know, the only car I have owned is the mini LOL Best sim out there? Not for me. Maybe it will impress me more when I install a BTCC mod, These are cars I understand. The two cars that really hooked me were the Formula Classic and the Minis. Have you tried those?

Yeah the minis are okay, good fun but am I ever going to see a series running them? I suspect not. Most of my offline racing is testing one thing or another, so I look for stuff I may get to race with people...and as the people I like to race with are here and 2O2R...

You just compared rfactor against itself it is rfactor just much better.....do a light install of rfactor with no added mods and run it out of the box and than do the comparison also comparing it to next gen engines isn't too fair as they are far more advanced....what makes it my fair sim is its COMPLETE polished and ready to play, all the mods you need to add to rfactor to make it enjoyable are already added and enhanced. I found the stock ffb @ 100 to be far too strong and made the wheel feel like heavy resistance I lowered it 80% and found it much more detailed. And yes the minis are nice!

If enough people grabbed this title I'd be more than happy setting up a series of some sort....minis, v8, blancpain or formula 3....hell even the carts are pretty fun for screwing around. Racedepartment will be hosting tons of races weekly on eruo time once it launches officially which I'll be jumping in on wed - fri Ya gotta limit the testing and start racing or you'll end up like me a hotlapper that can't race worth shit lol

I bought GSC 2012 last year and really liked it. Unfortunately just never had a chance to race it much. Ran 1 race in the minis at Race Dept.
Just not sure there is enough incentive for me to buy 2013 as there's not enough new content to get me excited. I understand guys buying it if they didn't have 2012 already.
If you guys get enough interest, I may re-consider it down the line.

I am not all that interested in this game's multiplayer component. I have enjoyed it primarily for the single player aspect, particularly the Formula Classics. Reiza did a nice job with the AI, they give you one heck of a challenge. My multiplayer interests these days are largely iRacing and rFactor 2.
I personally would not recommend buying this if multiplayer is your primary interest.

LOL bit late, funny I don't really spend much time in single player other than testing or practising, need the buzz I get from racing humans, which is quite odd as I have spent years...well since Revs on the BBC in various racing games just racing AI...

Yes the ai is very good in this edition, the game itself is a huge upgrade from 2012 in every aspect. Multiplayer is the same as rf1 purchase wise as the majority of Gbr members are rf1 only users it will more than likely become a wasted purchase, but if your like me and have mornings and early afternoons off and looking for a perfectly polished rfactor game there's a lot of leagues available running this game. Over at rd the voted to retire rf and replace it with gsc as they realized all the popular legal mods they run had been converted and looked/felt better. So if you run in clubs outside Gbr it will get use if not it's a just a really good single player game that will probably go to waste

V1.10 has been released! Links are in the following link www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/gsc2013-v1-10-official-release-thread.78015/One feature I read about which is great for online racing. You can setup a 3 race race with quali for race one, race two is a reversed grid of race 1 standings and race 3 is gridded by the overal top 6 in points of race 1&2....no more restarting of the server!!! Bug fix to improve 3rd party mods, hopefully it does what it says I have 2 mods I really want to run. I'll give the orsm v8 a run and see if there's any difference, hopefully the wtcc and Dtm will work better

Hmm looking at the bug list I may wait a couple of days...or even until final release. Turns out it is another beta after all

This has got to be one of the funniest, yet informative sim racing reviews I've seen. I think the boring old ISR guys better watch their backs.
