I spent the weekend running the latest update and content and I must say the new formula extreme, reiza's rendition of the 2014 f1 car is epic, but the big winner in the community is the formula vee, it's a love hate relationship but once you learn how to drive it, it's sim bliss and addictive. Very similar to the skippy but with no areo so braking and steering inputs must be smooth and precise. Race department is running a series starting in October running on Sunday afternoons and currently has 40+ drivers signed up!
The 2 new tracks red bull ring and Buenos Aires are beautifully done with the newly added lighting.
I hope the community continues to grow like it has in the past month so that reiza will go forward with the community funding and start development on next gen features that they hinted at.
I am already looking forward to the next update lol 4 new tracks and 2 cars one being a Brazilian version Daytona prototype.

Iam absolutely addicted to the open wheelers in gsc.....even tho I suck there so much fuN. I participated in RD speed week using them and it was a great learning experience.
I also got a hold of a bunch of laser scanned sim raceway conversions with updated gsc features
A quick tip guide for those that run the sim and get the best experience.
Drs and ers are activated and have fully functional Drs zones.
You can also unlock or lock certain tire compounds by opening up locations/track/gdb. File and find the line tire compounds default is (0,2) change it to (01,2,3,) which will unlock all.


For realistic representation of vehicles.
Steering degrees 540
Steering lock 18-22

Karts
Steering degrees 180-270
Steering lock 18-22

Optimum visuals
In you plr. File it just like RF1 use notepad and find these lines

I won't argue with any of that
I've been running 2 races a day mon - Fri over at Rd and it's been a blast with 25+ grids. Ill be running in the formula vee series that starts next sun, angelo is participating as well and looks like its gonna be intense with a full grid. Iam really glad this sim has gained popularity since 1.21v update. Reiza has stated if the game gets enough of a following they will look at the option of crowd funding so they can bring all the features rf2 has to GSC. What these guys have done with with this engine and just a handful of devs is simply amazing.
I use to be strictly a touring car guy, but Iam now seriously addicted to open wheelers due to this game. Iam patiently waiting for someone to run a 2014 f1 serious using reiza's formula extreme version

Don't think I'm breaking any rules and seeing how there a few that race in both leagues. There is a whole discussion thread going on over at Efnet about GSC that has really taken off over the last two weeks. Some have bought it and some of us are trying the demo with great interest, I'm playing the 30 day demo and I'm very impressed.

Best value on the market and worth every penny
There isn't 1 base vehicle I don't enjoy
Best of all more content and features will continually be added in the future to bring it to next gen tech.
If anyone is interested Iam willing to setup a server thurs-sat nights for some fun runs.

Thanks Kurupt for the offer, that sounds tempting. I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this and it would be fun to jump in and race with a bunch of GBR, EFNET and TUM/URL guys.
