Season 7 begins January 8th

The initial planning for the upcoming V8 Supercars season is underway. We've been doing some testing with rF2 and have decided that it's not quite ready for prime time. While it's a lot of fun, there are still several bugs that need worked out. Along with that, the tracks are limited and many have issues that would not allow it to be a viable option for a series. I do plan to continue running exhibition events off and on as new builds are released. There is a possibility that it will be ready by the time Season 8 rolls around.

So here are some of the facts we know of for the upcoming V8 Supercars series.

1. We will continue to use rF1 and will stick with the ORSM V8Factor 2011 mod.
2. The season is tentatively set to begin Wednesday, January 8th 2014 and will continue to be a bi-weekly series.
3. The only aide that will be allowed is auto clutch. No more TC or ABS.

I am in the process of getting the tracks together and hope to be testing them soon. The exact format is still being looked into.

Dale has offered to let us continue to use his server, but we will need some donations to help offset his costs.
We hope to raise at least $150, which will get us 6 months. This would allow us to continue to use his server 24/7 over the course of the season. If you would like to donate, please go to this link and click the DONATE graphic.

Update: Just about got the tracks finished up. We did some testing last week and identified a few problems. This motivated me to try to fix some of these "issues" so I have been trying to teach myself how to use the ISI AIW editor as well as 3DsimED. It's taken me some time as it's not very user friendly, but am stumbling my way through it.
I have definitely gained even more admiration for the time and patience guys have that design these tracks.

We will be having a preseason exhibition on Wednesday 12/11. I will announce the track and format shortly, but go ahead and mark your calendars down.

I also want to thank everyone that donated. We were able to raise enough in a very short period of time and the server is now secured for Season 7.

thanks ya nothing has changed yet but going by what trains will be doing I cant see them having us working as late as now but I will find out in a coupla months id say. just sux arse as the times we do are perfect for my GBR racing....
