Gone Broke Racing Announces New Blancpain Championship
PORTLAND, OR - Gone Broke Racing [GBR] has announced a new championship sponsored by luxury watchmaker Blancpain. The Blancpain GBR Championship will be contested over a 15 round season while visiting a variety of tracks all over the world. Driver registration is now open in the Car Selection thread.

Championship Format
The championship will consist of 15 rounds using three different race lengths. All rounds will be preceded by a 15 minute qualifying session and a 5 minute driver meeting. Standing starts will be used at all events.
Intermediate - 9 rounds consisting of a single 45-minute race.
Sprint - 3 rounds consisting of two 25-minute sprints. Race 2 grid will be determined by Race 1 results.
Endurance - 3 rounds consisting of a single 90-minute race.
Championship Points
Points to be awarded according to race length using the following table.
Race Bonuses
Bonus points will be awarded at each race for Pole Winner, Fastest Lap, and Highest Climbing. Each category winner will receive 2 points at endurance races and 1 point at each of the intermediate and sprint races. Sprint rounds will only have one Pole Winner.
Participation Bonus
Points for consecutive participation will be awarded. Drivers will receive five points for each five consecutive race starts. DNF’s will count and DNS’s will count if the driver could not start the race due to a technical problem but was present and on TeamSpeak. With a 15-round schedule, 15 total points are available to each driver should they complete every event.
Rules and Server Settings
GBR Rules will be followed. Pit stops will be driver’s choice at all events with fuel and tire wear both set to 2X. Auto-clutch will be the only driver aid available. Damage will be set to 50% and mechanical failures Normal. Blue flags will be shown but not penalized.
