The terrain.tdf is rFACTOR specific. It is located in the locations folder. RF uses three different versions of the .tdf depending on Disc type or digital download.
Back up your terrain.tdf by naming it terrain.tdf.old, and get the host (or anyone else that can get in) to send you a copy of the terrain.tdf that is in the host/server locations folder, drop it in your locations folder and it should fix the issue.
I've had to do this with Jeff and a few others in the past that had this error.
Once in a while it dose not work, but I'd give it a 98% chance of fixing the issue.
