Rules & Etiquette
Let the Lead lap cars by as soon as it's safe to do so if you are being lapped.
Team Speak is required.
Try to minimize conversation to relevant race related items (accidents, passing on left/right, pitting, exiting pits, etc).
If you find yourself off track, PLEASE re-enter the track at a safe time. (Not in front of someone)
Headlight use limited. A single flash (or 2) to say thanks/sorry or to warn a back-marker that you are approaching. Any other use of headlights will be penalized. (Unless needed for a night race)
Penalties:
Penalties will be administered at the discretion of the GBR officials, based on all available data and previous offenses. Penalties may be a combination and include, but are not limited to:
Warning.
Time penalty (levels of).
Grid penalty (levels of).
Point deduction (levels of).
Disqualification.
Suspension (levels of).
Removal from championship.
Differing levels of rule breaches will incur relevant levels of penalties. By far the most common penalty will be a points deduction, for consistency; however, where the outcome of a race at the head of the field (often the top 3 positions) is affected, then time penalties are more likely to be issued to keep the validity of records.
Penalisable situations include, but are not limited to:
Cutting
Unsportsmanlike contact with another car
Excessive Bump-drafting
General unsportsmanlike behavior, such as swerving, headlight flashing, Not moving over for the lead lap cars in a reasonable time frame. etc....
Lack of respect, or bad attitude, towards other drivers, GBR staff, the league regulations or the league organizer in the forums
However, any clarification posted in the information thread or pre-race briefing supersedes any GBR rule when in conflict.
Always ask questions before an event if you are unsure. Lack of knowledge is not accepted as an excuse.
Further details will be posted before every race event in the pre-race briefing - it is your duty to read and understand these rules and guidelines.
Failure to follow any procedure may mean you get penalized.
Default GBR track boundary rules:
1.You may use all of the available tarmac, curbs and extra AstroTurf/concrete beyond the curbing.
2.Some part of two wheels must be within the outer edge of the white lines at all times. (Unless Point 1. is the reason for crossing the line)
(Exceptions: You will not be penalized for accidentally leaving the track, such as missing a breaking point etc etc.. This rule will mostly cover passing for position or cutting corners.)
Reporting incidents:
Should you wish to report an incident, then you must do so within 24 hours after an event's climax. You must private message the league organizer first and await a response before you discuss them on the forum. Submitter shall review the replay before hand, and inform the Stewards of the time frame of the incident. Any arguments arising from bringing up an incident in the forum will result in the report being disregarded.
If you feel you have been wrongly penalized, then private message GBR staff or the league organizer, and they will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Do not post on the forum that you feel wronged by a penalty before private messaging, or the appeal will be inadmissible. You are allowed to appeal any penalty, but you should first review the decision and compare it with similar incidents. The decision of the league organizer, or GBR staff, is, however, final.
It is each driver's duty to ensure that they familiarize themselves with the rules and are fully prepared for each race, especially for the opening round. Mods, tracks, servers, briefings and passwords are posted well in advance on the forum and are there for everyone to make sure they understand. Practice servers will also be live as much as possible, allowing everybody to test out their vehicles, that their game is working as it should and to get to know one another
If you crash out and want to leave the race, no problem.
But if your just having a bad race or got caught up in a crash, Don't leave, Get your car to the pits to be fixed and get out there and grab some points at least.
No points for <75% laps completed. So if the driver wants points he should at least reach that point.
