Race 1 a bust, but Race 2 a good climb from the back so can't really complain. Thanks everyone that came out. 18 person grid is great to see.
Cheers!

Sorry to whomever was behind me with less than 5:00 to go in race 2, my reprieve from GF bday ended with a few texts, distracting me enough to shift all the way down into first gear. Screwed both of us...

I have to figure out how to control the rear of this car... both races, I lost many places because I lit up the rears on corner exit. Oh well, had some great battles along the way.

The 5 car pack for 6th place in Race 1 was a blast, until guys started making slip ups (myself included) that eventually broke it up. Race 2 I had some good battles w/ Tom, Dale & Dave. Especially the last half of the race w/ Dale until he looped it with only a couple to go. I thought I was going to get a run on Dave on the last lap, but alas the rear stepped out just enough that I had to chase it...effectively ending my chance at 8th place. And congrats to Wolf for hanging in there at one of his least favorite tracks, and getting a top 10 nonetheless! Congrats to Angelo for a sweep, though it looks like Jeff make you work for it in Race 2!

Congrats to the winners and podium finishers.
I didn't have a lot of practice but know this version of the track very well and I got faster as qualy came around..
Race one was doing ok and then had a mystery spin that lost me some positions, got back a few.
Race two was doing even better and had a great battle going with Tom after passing Dave. Then I went off track lost a bunch of positions. From there the car and my race just went down hill, couldn't keep the car on the track and procedded to the back of the pack, no fun. Didn't feel like the same car I had in race 1.
I don't know if it was the car track combo but it was very frustrating, I know these cars have a sharp grip cut off level but it was really exagerated here from ok to gone off track in an instant. Very hard to drive predictably.
Hopefully the next track feels better with the car.

I was way to sick to make this race but did practice a bit. Hope to make the next one.

I had a nice battle with K Juliot in race 2 when he dropped back. I could tell his tires were gone from the way he was sliding around corners and I know he is one of the faster guys. I just tried to fill his rearview and wait for him to slip. Once I got passed he gave me a little tap a few corners later. It was not intentional, it was just his tires had no grip. KJ was a true gentleman racer and allowed me to get the position back.

Great fun in both races. I'm glad these were sprints @ this track. It take a lot of attention! Also sorry to Rich for the punt in T1 in the second race. I saw Jeff in my mirror as we were snaking down the front straight and paid too much attention to him, missing my brake marker. It ruined your race and I think we would have had a good battle, we seemed to have the same pace. I can't wait for the next race!

Yeah, was a fun event! I quite like this track. Is very technical. Race 1 went without problems, and from Pole I lead to the flag, with Caleb chasing me at first very closely, but then I was able to put a nice gap and control the race. Race 2 was going smooth until about 3 laps to go. A bloody bug, inset...I dont even know how to say in english, decided to enter my house and bother me. The thing had thousand of places to try to land...instead choose to try to land on my monitor, on my PC tower, even on a moving steering wheel! Wtf was that... It almost cost me the race, as Jeff indeed was faster in the end and was catching me. On the last lap I almost lost the car on the chicane with this situation, but fortunately to me I was able to keep going and hold a charging Jeff in the dying meters. Im glad that this was a comic situation instead of a tragic one!! Right after the flag I left my car on the track and went to kill the bastard!! And I can tell I feel no guilt at all about this!!

What I am liking after only two events is hearing good battles developing all through the field. Music to my ears!

Results added to the second post of the thread HERE. I wish I could say more but man, there is a lot of action going on out there. I am very please with the series so far. Thanks for coming out, everyone. The standings have been updated as well.

Tom, it was me running behind you. I had no where to go and hit you when you blew up. No worries though. It was a racing incident. I was running right on top of you to try to get by and then kablamo! lol
