Date: Sunday, January 26, 2013 Time: 6:50am PST (70 minute Warmup/Practice starts at 6:50am PST, Qualifying starts at 8:00am PST and a 35 minute race starts at 8:15am PST) Car: Corvette (paid content) Track: Road America (paid content) Warm Up: 70 minutes Qualifying: 15 minutes, 4 laps Race: 35 minutes Tune: Open. Here are some tunes I downloaded from the iRacing forums Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedKeep in mind that we will have to start on time, since there is no way I can change the race start time once we are in the sim. You can be late for warm up and qualifying and can come and go as you please. There will be unlimited Fast Repairs, so no one is left completely in the dust due to a mistake. Because you all are road purists, this will be a standing start. We will do chat via the iRacing 1 room in Dale's Teamspeak server.

I tweaked the schedule to accommodate several of us that are doing Snappy's GT6 Sunday morning event. Practice will start ten minutes earlier at 6:50am PST, Qualifying will start at 8am PST and a 35 minute race will start at 8:15am PST, which means we will finish by 8:50am PST, with plenty of time to jump over to GT6.
If anyone has concerns with this, please speak up!
Thanks!

Sorry to be off-topic, but what happened to Snappy racing on the PC? I spoke to him about that and he likely will be revisiting iRacing soon. I will keep bugging him about it. He already has the racing rig set up and is thinking about buying an upgraded wheel for PC sim racing.

Anyone know if you are able to give your account to someone else or is it ip tracked? I'll sell mine for the 1/4 of the price it has about 90% of the road and track cars buyer will just need to renew the yearly membership

Anyone know if you are able to give your account to someone else or is it ip tracked? I'll sell mine for the 1/4 of the price it has about 90% of the road and track cars buyer will just need to renew the yearly membership I believe that violates the terms of service. Each account is unique to one user. Someone could login under your account from a different computer. For example, I login to my account from my desktop computer at home, as well as my work computer and my iPad. But, I only run the sim on my gaming PC. That doesn't cause any issues with iRacing. The problem likely would come if someone "buys" your account and then tries to change the name from you to them via a request to iRacing. Otherwise, they would have to race under your name and then make arrangements with you to pay the yearly membership fee and to buy additional content. No matter how low the price, I would not recommend to anyone that they "buy" an iRacing account, nor would I recommend to anyone, including you, that you "sell" an account. I am sorry you do not get enough out of the sim to justify its heavy cost. I cannot think of a way to help you mitigate the cost, other than to move on and call it good. Like you, I have spent good money, more than I want to admit, on software that I never got reasonable use out of.

The essential issue with account transfer is the driving record/license. It would be like Troy selling his A 4.99 account off to a rookie.
That said, if you knew someone interested in your account, you could hand your account details over to someone you trust, after you change the address/payment details, etc. Let 'em race under your name.
I do know iRacing will sometimes allow name changes in situations like where a Mom signs her kid up because the kid doesn't have a credit card, etc. (I raced with some early teen guy once and the other drivers were razzing him over chat about his obviously female name). However, I'm not sure what the procedure is to get a name change.

Back on topic. I was able to get a few practice laps in. My best so far is 2:05.xxx. I have a fairly decent setup to share. Here it is. GBR Road America Race 35 min.sto (2.01 KB) It has enough fuel for the race. Just drop some fuel for qualifying if you desire. Enjoy.
