HELP!!!

I am not having a problem with any sim racing programs but am having problems with my WarThunder Beta along with trying to get my Total Recorder Professional Edition back up and running before this Friday so that I can record my weekly radio show on my main gaming desktop. I had a virus which I thankfully was able to get rid of after some doing but now it seems like I constantly have User Permissions issues with most of the programs that I install even after trying to right-click the executable file, go to properties, and set the program so that I have full control or disabling the firewall or my AVG Antivirus program. Total Recorder was working fine for me earlier this afternoon but now unfortunately it is giving me this error that I have attached in this post. Could someone please help me fix this problem so that I won't have any future permissions issues with running programs?

It looks like it is trying to create a registry key and is not allowing access to it. The virus may have corrupted your profile. I would create a new user profile with admin rights, log in to that one and see if the program will run.

Thanks, for some reason it didn't work though. I created a new account, logged out of the old one, installed the program and got the same exact error :/.

Not 100% sure, but it looks like you might have to uninstall it, remove the registry values and start over fresh.

If you had a virus and AVG blocked the key, it will stay blocked until you remove it.

Without the PC here, that is all I can see, but not 100% sure that is all, or the real problem. Sorry man.

Did you run the installer as administrator? Right-click -> Run As Administrator...

Viruses/malware that alter permissions can leave lots of problems behind. As a last resort, you may want to consider backing all your stuff up and doing either a Repair install of Windows or a completely fresh OS install.

Thanks, I tried the administrator bit and had no luck. I might have to repair or redo the install overall :/

I don't know if there's a procedure for repairing Registry permissions but that's maybe worth Googling before you nuke it from orbit.
