Here is a post from iRacing President Tony Gardner about the status of new content that is coming to iRacing over the next several months:
Nothing too earth shattering in terms of "news" but just to confirm what the production people, graphic & art folks along with race engineers are working on in regard to new content:
"As always, everything is subject to change for priorities or many other possible reasons.
Tracks:
COTA - next track we release IRP/Lucal Oil - will be next track after COTA. Should be a blast with that new super late model! Donington- is also in production. Working now on track surface textures and track shaders- Still long way to go. Monza-We have the scan and production has started. Even longer way to go. Will do another oval before or after Monza. Also looking at mixing in and redoing some existing tracks.
Cars:
BMW GT car-close to dropping it in alpha to begin hands-on physics work and testing DW-12 Indy car - Ideally would like to have for Indy 500. We shall see, might be wishful thinking but that is a goal. Quite a bit of work because essentially it is like building 5 different cars from a physics perspective.
Many other awesome cars and tracks to build but thought I would update what actually is in production at this moment."
