Only 2 days until race day. I'm hoping to get on the server shortly and run some practice. This jumping in cold stuff isn't working out so well for me.

Probably going to miss this one, I think my wheel finally crapped out. Should have my T500 by Friday or Monday.

Well, I had no pace here. I did very little practice and it showed.
I had to run softs to match the pace of the leaders on inters. So, I went against my usual SOP and I gambled that the extra grip of the softs would offset the penalty of a second pit stop but it didn't work out that way. If I was one second a lap faster I would've been on the podium or at least fighting for it.

I had an okay race and am happy with the results. I lost five spots on the first lap by going too wide when leaving space for someone on the inside. My biggest mistake was not remembering that others would be on softs and a two stop strategy. I started over-driving the car racing against guys that would be making an additional stop. I thought something was wrong with me, lol. When I finally remembered this I tried to settle down and told myself to just run my race and it worked out okay. Fun race.

I went for a 3 stop strategy on softs, pitting every 7 laps. 3 pit stops turned into 5 due to not enough gas and speeding in the pits. I have nobody to blame except for myself on the speeding. This was by far my best race at GBR and I was super pissed when I was dealt the stop/go penalties. I probably would have ended up in the top 10 but had to settle for 13. Looks like I need to work on my pit road entries now.

Had a good start.....but it all fell apart amidst running with Boza & Rich (good fun that scrap). Lost the back end exiting T1 (which it had never done all practice or qually) and had it snap back and nose into the wall, bouncing back out into the track in front of Boza. I had flashbacks of Oulton Park. "Oh no, don't let me wreck Boza out again!" Fortunately he got by with barely a scrape. Car was fucked, had to pit early for damage repairs. Tried to stay calm and salvage a top 10...then that went out the window when I miscalculated fuel consumption...and didn't realize it while heading to the pits. So had to make a second stop for fuel...ok...fuck it, I'll throw softs on for the last 8 laps or so.....and switched from inters to no change on the pit menu & didn't realize it until the car was stopped. Crap.....there goes that race. Ended up running damn near 20 laps on one set of tires. Piss poor execution on my end and I paid the price. I need to capitalize on these longer races, as I tend to fare better overall than I do in the sprints.
Let the tumble down the points standings commence!
On more positive notes, a couple shout outs to a couple guys down the order a bit that don't get a lot of recognition. First big props to teammate Jimmy. He's finding some speed for sure, I was surprised to see him run me down with ease when I encountered him late in the race (prior to his stop & go). And congrats to Custom, nabbing his first top 10 in the V8 series.

Thanks for that Chris. I really think my 3 stop strategy was going to payoff big time for me and get me into the top 10 again, but dumbass mistakes on my part really hurt. No excuse for not having enough fuel or speeding in the pits. DUMB DUMB DUMB!

Congrats to Hawks on the win and the other podium finishers. To say I'm pissed about this race would be understatement. Second race of the season for me and after being totally uncompetive at Hidden Valley I was happy to have some pace here. Qualifying 3rd was huge for me. After a few others in front of me had some issues to be running 2nd behind John was great until I seen the "Gas Can" icon pop up in the corner. This totally threw me off as I look at what lap I'm on and trying to figure stuff out. Planned on pitting on lap 14 and this was lap 11 or 12. In my fumbeling around Hawks got to my rear bumper, coming down the front straight he pulled out and was passing me on my right as I went by pit entrance and realizing I was toast I should have pulled in after adding a bunch of fuel in the menu. I tried to conserve on the next lap but ran out of gas as I coasted into pit road. Ok I'm one of those guys that is easy on fuel, I had checked in practice and was getting 1.0 to 1.02 gallons per lap. I started with 17 laps of fuel just to be sure. In my confusion lap of trying to figure out stuff I looked and it said I was using 1.2 gallons a lap, WTF. I was on inters and not pushing like in practice on softs that had said around a gallon a lap, so again WTF!! This is why I'm pissed, I always run to the heavy side on fuel just to make sure for this kind of stuff.
